you do you, my friend

2018-07-12 03:58:46 UTC

Fair enough, I am interested to hear your point of view though

2018-07-12 03:58:54 UTC

take advantage of others is in our very nature...

2018-07-12 03:58:59 UTC

Acquaintance*

2018-07-12 03:59:01 UTC

@Fitzydog well wasn't plato fairly collectivist?

2018-07-12 03:59:21 UTC

I dont take advantage of others

2018-07-12 03:59:21 UTC

compared to Aristotle's more individualist beliefs

2018-07-12 03:59:49 UTC

My evidence is my commission checks at at&t when i was a salesperson

2018-07-12 03:59:51 UTC

@AiarUther Well, do you want to live in an Anarcho-capitalist society? Or do you want borders? Because borders define a 'collective' of *something* even if it's super inconsequential

2018-07-12 04:00:36 UTC

Collectivism and Individualism aren't binary

2018-07-12 04:00:54 UTC

Just because you are individualist doesn't mean you have to be an anarchist

2018-07-12 04:00:55 UTC

@Deleted User It's time to clean the floors.

2018-07-12 04:01:16 UTC

False dichotomy

2018-07-12 04:01:20 UTC

Alert!

2018-07-12 04:01:47 UTC

@Silver Shield His point was, that if you live in a nation, you're still in a 'collective' of sorts. There's a layer of society that is more important than yourself

2018-07-12 04:02:09 UTC

And those are children and the gays

2018-07-12 04:02:12 UTC

@Silver Shield I think you do, to be honest

2018-07-12 04:02:47 UTC

@Fitzydog I think though that if there is any interraction, it has to be as volunatary as possible.

2018-07-12 04:02:54 UTC

Think of the most minarchist America imaginable: It's still a 'collective' of Americans who value border security

2018-07-12 04:03:05 UTC

It isnt rape if u consent

2018-07-12 04:03:42 UTC

In regards to voluntary choices

2018-07-12 04:03:44 UTC

The idea of individualism is that the emphasis is on the rights of the individual. It doesn't necessitate that you can't be part of a group, just that the group's importance is less than the individual's.

2018-07-12 04:03:48 UTC

Consent prevents rape 100% of the time

2018-07-12 04:03:55 UTC

Exactly

2018-07-12 04:04:02 UTC

This guy gets it

2018-07-12 04:04:11 UTC

@Silver Shield Of course not, but if you're not part of a group, then you're in a stateless society

2018-07-12 04:04:13 UTC

just look at my avatar

2018-07-12 04:04:20 UTC

2018-07-12 04:04:34 UTC

well there would still be organisations in a stateless society.

2018-07-12 04:04:50 UTC

Looks like Willem Dafoe and Gordon Freeman had a baby

2018-07-12 04:04:51 UTC

You know I wonder if delta city from robocop wouldn't have been a better outcome?

2018-07-12 04:05:27 UTC

@AiarUther If I lived in unincorporated Alaska with no state, and provided everything for myself, then yes, I'm finally an 'individualist'

2018-07-12 04:05:36 UTC

where i got it

2018-07-12 04:05:56 UTC

@Fitzydog well that's not neccesarily anarcho capitalist
