It's just an example you know what I mean

2018-07-18 20:27:17 UTC

@Goblin_Slayer_Floki that's actually a brilliant idea- lessen the amount of potential distractions; like blinders on a horse

2018-07-18 20:27:18 UTC

I suggest a kindle because it breaks down to page by page and less daunting as a whole book in your hands

2018-07-18 20:27:22 UTC

@Deleted User Actually cant, everyone uses it now It'd just make me a weirdo not to

2018-07-18 20:27:33 UTC

I hate reading tablets

2018-07-18 20:27:52 UTC

Kindles are different. The older ones are like paper

2018-07-18 20:28:11 UTC

They arnt backlit

2018-07-18 20:28:11 UTC

@M4Gunner I dont want that thanks

2018-07-18 20:28:36 UTC

But take it from me. It takes determination and self discipline to keep at it and retrain the brain.

2018-07-18 20:29:31 UTC

@YourFeelingsAreMaladaptive You learn a lot when you have something like a mTBI, you have to reorganize you life with the attention and memory issues.

2018-07-18 20:30:11 UTC

Like i almost do nothing without a notepad, because of my short term memory

2018-07-18 20:30:29 UTC

Floki what happened? Did you get a concussion?

2018-07-18 20:30:29 UTC

@Deleted User It's time to clean the floors.

2018-07-18 20:30:32 UTC

I have a horrible memory for things I dont care about

2018-07-18 20:30:43 UTC

For things I like, I have an insanely good memory

2018-07-18 20:30:49 UTC

@Werlf Same

2018-07-18 20:30:52 UTC

Its gotten better, but I used to have eidectic memory so it was a shock.

2018-07-18 20:31:21 UTC

Doesn't necessarily relate but I have ASPD and MDD so I actually had to be taught how to interact with people, be kind and compassionate. I can kid of understand the requirement to learn about yourself and rewire your neural networks

2018-07-18 20:31:30 UTC

@Merkmal Yea i has a couple concussions and hit my head once from IEDs my last deployment

2018-07-18 20:31:30 UTC

Kind

2018-07-18 20:31:38 UTC

Shid

2018-07-18 20:31:40 UTC

Oof

2018-07-18 20:31:52 UTC

Rough

2018-07-18 20:32:42 UTC

I liken the after effect to ADD plus. Because a lot of the same symptoms, but add memory issues and headaches. But meds dont work on the first two. Its a matter of training and opening new pathways.

2018-07-18 20:33:28 UTC

Do you still hold memory issues or have you regained your memory?

2018-07-18 20:33:51 UTC

I've read studies on people with Alzheimer's actually regaining theirs so I know it's possible

2018-07-18 20:34:41 UTC

I have a little back. I will never get my eidectic memory back. But over the last say 4 years i got a little of my short term back.

2018-07-18 20:35:18 UTC

Atta be! Why won't you get your eidectic back? Too much physical damage?

2018-07-18 20:36:20 UTC

Basically. The neurologist said that in about 90% of cases photographic and eidectic memories are lost with the severity of mTBI i had.

2018-07-18 20:36:36 UTC

Dude that sucks

2018-07-18 20:37:19 UTC

It does. I miss being able to retain with very little effort

2018-07-18 20:37:48 UTC

Holy Satan that's a living hell. I wouldn't know what to do, learning is my favorite to do

2018-07-18 20:37:58 UTC

I used to be the kid who could pretty much sleep during a lecture and retain it.

2018-07-18 20:38:23 UTC

I can still learn, it just takes more effort because I have to push it into long term memory to keep it for good.

2018-07-18 20:38:57 UTC

Hence more note taking and such

2018-07-18 20:39:33 UTC

Well atleast in that case if you learn to master the method required to do so best for yourself; you'll retain more information on specific things you desire to learn

2018-07-18 20:39:35 UTC

rip

2018-07-18 20:41:10 UTC

Well, I'm getting ready to move across the country so I have to get packing. I wish you the best

2018-07-18 20:41:14 UTC

basically. I mean one good thing is I only put in the effort if it is important. So less useless knowledge.

2018-07-18 20:41:22 UTC

Have fun!

2018-07-18 20:41:29 UTC

Very true and thanks
