They choose to ignore or not believe the facts
Break the books up
I had to witb my mtbi
Or use something like a kindel that does it for you
It's very easy to dismiss facts when you can chalk them up to a bot or "racism"
@Werlf nootropics, meditation, self discipline and forcing yourself to focus until you form the neural pathways which allow you to do so through automaticity rather than forced conscious thought
^
I'll be a social outcast, thats how everyone talks these days
No
When i had to retrain my brain after the mTBI, it was a matter of doing things like when reading a book using a bookmark to block part of the page to focus.
Fuck off jacksfilms
stop being a shitty teen
It's just an example you know what I mean
@Goblin_Slayer_Floki that's actually a brilliant idea- lessen the amount of potential distractions; like blinders on a horse
I suggest a kindle because it breaks down to page by page and less daunting as a whole book in your hands
@Deleted User Actually cant, everyone uses it now It'd just make me a weirdo not to
I hate reading tablets
Kindles are different. The older ones are like paper
But take it from me. It takes determination and self discipline to keep at it and retrain the brain.
@YourFeelingsAreMaladaptive You learn a lot when you have something like a mTBI, you have to reorganize you life with the attention and memory issues.
Like i almost do nothing without a notepad, because of my short term memory
Floki what happened? Did you get a concussion?
@Deleted User It's time to clean the floors.
I have a horrible memory for things I dont care about
For things I like, I have an insanely good memory
Its gotten better, but I used to have eidectic memory so it was a shock.
Doesn't necessarily relate but I have ASPD and MDD so I actually had to be taught how to interact with people, be kind and compassionate. I can kid of understand the requirement to learn about yourself and rewire your neural networks
@Merkmal Yea i has a couple concussions and hit my head once from IEDs my last deployment
Kind
Shid
Oof
Rough
I liken the after effect to ADD plus. Because a lot of the same symptoms, but add memory issues and headaches. But meds dont work on the first two. Its a matter of training and opening new pathways.
Do you still hold memory issues or have you regained your memory?
I've read studies on people with Alzheimer's actually regaining theirs so I know it's possible
I have a little back. I will never get my eidectic memory back. But over the last say 4 years i got a little of my short term back.
