better bend em over backwards

2018-07-21 15:18:50 UTC

How effective are those spendings though?

2018-07-21 15:19:56 UTC

I'd say that Switzerland does much more per one dollar than US, and German healthcare provides a more efficient treatment than Canadian

2018-07-21 15:20:19 UTC

The number on their own don't paint a complete picture here

2018-07-21 15:21:37 UTC

Also you can get high-cost operations done in the eastern europe that have very legit EU-certified high-quality specialists, but the procedure costs significantly less in those countries

2018-07-21 15:23:50 UTC
2018-07-21 15:24:00 UTC

US has a higher population

2018-07-21 15:24:42 UTC

@LumpyAcidFish I would want to see more dashcams and cameras on the roads for that.

2018-07-21 15:25:17 UTC

Exposure like that makes the insurance cases pretty clear and they can't weasel out of paying

2018-07-21 15:26:45 UTC

German manufacturers (namely BMW, Mercedes, Audi to name a few) tried to make dashcams a built-in feature and then the insurance lobby exerted pressure on them

2018-07-21 15:27:59 UTC

Cameras are still there, but they now use them strictly as a computer vision. It does not record, just recognises the situation and adjusts the lane heading or brakes before another car if the driver failed to do so

2018-07-21 15:28:33 UTC

lol

2018-07-21 15:28:44 UTC

He is onto something

2018-07-21 15:29:00 UTC

Although I am pretty sure this is one of those fake tweets

2018-07-21 15:30:13 UTC

No, really?

2018-07-21 15:30:14 UTC

The floor was wiped with Cetronius. Never forget.

2018-07-21 15:30:27 UTC

um.

2018-07-21 15:30:28 UTC

guys.

2018-07-21 15:30:37 UTC

y'all really don't know what that's in reference to?

2018-07-21 15:31:26 UTC

Oh damn, I stand corrected, it is in fact real

2018-07-21 15:31:36 UTC

No way

2018-07-21 15:32:13 UTC

Just google 'Richard Dawkins holocaust'

2018-07-21 15:32:15 UTC

I mean there is an argument to be made that jews did something to be universally hated in every country they went.

2018-07-21 15:32:41 UTC

You don't get thrown out of every bar in the town for no reason.

2018-07-21 15:33:22 UTC

But even if they are being not nice holocaust and gulags are a tad of an overreaction

2018-07-21 15:33:29 UTC

Well what exactly did they do?

2018-07-21 15:33:41 UTC

Seems like they just tended to win at capitalism a lot

2018-07-21 15:33:58 UTC

I presume banking with extortionate rates. But that is just a guess

2018-07-21 15:34:23 UTC

<:thronk:441701565607444482>

2018-07-21 15:34:24 UTC

Yeah but they didn't just kill Jewish bankers

2018-07-21 15:35:22 UTC

I am not justifying the antisemitism here. Just pondering on the very fact that it was present so universally in countries pre ww2

2018-07-21 15:35:39 UTC

It would be my guess that they were the same kind of scapegoat that the soviets used

2018-07-21 15:36:09 UTC

With the bourgeoisie

2018-07-21 15:36:13 UTC

Well it is easy to scapegoat a group that is not held in a high regard/allowed to be hated

2018-07-21 15:36:53 UTC

The "gypsies" are still getting hate even though there is no reason for it

2018-07-21 15:37:24 UTC

Soviets just hated intellectuals, because that was a threat

2018-07-21 15:37:36 UTC

And a lot of russian jews were very educated

2018-07-21 15:38:45 UTC

Well, people are often critical of the wealthy, so it's quite easy for somebody in power to point at them and say "those rich guys are the cause of all your problems" when a lot of people are already thinking that.

2018-07-21 15:39:05 UTC

Just look at the way people protest the 1% in the west

2018-07-21 15:39:42 UTC

That's a bit hypocritical in many cases
