I don't even have any certs anymore.. should re-up my RHCE
You can freelance online pretty easily too
ITIL is also becoming big for lots of IT jobs
yeah my uni is more focused on teaching you the skills to get certs
gonna buddy up with my teachers now then
Just competing with chang and Chong
I'm thinking of getting some certs over the summer now that uni is out of the way
goodnight nickers
Rarely a negative to invest in yourself
Night brother HH
Just need to push myself
Yeah, it's easier said than done. Just gotta find your motivation
gay the halo 1 servers are not online so someone would have to host if we weree to play and idk how to do that shit
@AlGoreRhythm you going for windows/linux/network?
I did some introspection this week and came to a really dark place but now I'm using that to motivate myself
yeah that's the plan
picking one or just doing it all
night
It's always been money for me, easy. Money enables a much better way of life, a life that can be lived as it should be in America.
I like all three so I'm gonna keep my options open
general is good to start but you'll eventually probably want to pick
if you're going Linux, learn some Python
@AlGoreRhythm You'll be already my man. That's the most painful part of bettering yourself: acknowledging there's a problem
windows, get some PowerShell
alright**
True
Absolutley
definitely learn python if you''re going to be dealing with linux
@David Bowman we worked alot with python and powershell this year
Powershell is actually crazy if you know what you're doing
it really is
yeah, I use it at work
still prefer linux.. but I have the job I have
Yeah we worked with active directory this semester and I really enjoyed it
AD is a nightmare once it gets big
i used to dual boot and use linux for work/school only and then windows for games and stuff
I have a desktop and a laptop, so putting linux on my laptop was a no brainer
I dual boot the most basic bitch version of Linux for web browsing. Otherwise I'm ignorant af on it
Running mint right now but I might switch to a more challenging OS just for the experience
ubuntu?
