@EnderOctanus wasn't exactly my argument, but kind of. it was more like i was saying, the sheer controversy about the issue, and the sensitivity and hysteria surrounding it, combined with the very large active conspiracy theories about it, leads me to have (some small) doubts in which side's information i should believe

@aradesh And my point is that it's a false flag you are chasing. That opposition pops up because people largely view the subject as black and white, good and evil. So stupid laws get passed in Europe, making the conspiracists feel like they're onto something.
