If you did an opinion poll of "Can you legislate morality" it would be sweeping no you can't but ask them about x or Y and they'll want to ban, regulate or decomission something

Really everyone has their holy cow, so in a way you can really appreciate the current libertarians honesty, but their economics will never let them hold wide spread institutional power because they aren't giving anything away. They often have to take things away.

But really everyone is pretty lined up with them just dont like the ecnomics

I mean I definitely lean libertarian on a moral and philosophical level, but most people are heavily authoritarian without realizing it.
