Hmm well this leads to interesting question on why Mediterian work etiquette and war success have been...well...less than clamorous in recent history? If they were ones who are responsible for success of europe why are they so these days?
@Deleted User@Finno After the fall of the Byzntine empire with the exception of Spain the Mediterranean land became either Ottoman lands or some random european kingdom's territory. So its very likely most modern Greeks and Italians aren't even the same people who created the Roman or Greek empires.
