I don't know what they were originally bred for, but it seems chilling is what it was.
They can spend their entire lives just eating and being pet in complete bliss.

Love animals, but I can't have an indoor pet because I am a legit Coprophobic.
Which as far a clinical fears go is pretty much the best to have.
You have to train them to do it outside.

Really? Been years since I've been around a Basset, but I seem to remember them and corgis being around the same size.
The last time and first time I saw a basset up close was a few days ago.

It had so much ear that it actually felt heavy.

In my life i'd need something more active because I'm sedentary enough.
They can run quite a bit.
They need more exercise than a lot of people give them, sadly.
