Discord, we basically have Waking Up The West guests for like 6-7 weeks; is there anybody you'd really like to see on Waking Up The West and why?

2019-03-28 18:36:42 UTC

Niccolo Soldo (twitter: v4analysis) he's pretty sharp on European politics and hilarious

2019-03-28 18:39:01 UTC

Boss, if you ever want to talk about something related to Spain, most sports or motorsports (probably the 3 topics I dominate the most), I'm here.

2019-03-28 18:41:58 UTC

I don't know if your audience could be interested but I think it'd be cool talking about how VOX, Spain's true-right party, popped up, was irrelevant for a couple of years and then started growing like crazy.

2019-03-28 21:16:58 UTC

They know.

2019-03-28 21:42:45 UTC

They actually aim for it.

2019-03-28 21:42:58 UTC

It's politics, it's NEVER an accident.

2019-03-29 01:15:25 UTC

@Orwell & Goode can you get Owen Benjamin on or E. Micheal Jones on?

2019-03-29 10:51:46 UTC

Btw guys, as Finland didn't have slavery (well there was time when slaves were taken from village next to you but niggers do not care about that) so wanna know what they accuse us instead of?

2019-03-29 10:52:07 UTC

?

2019-03-29 10:52:53 UTC

They accuse us of beeing responsible cause we sold tar to those who build ships that were used in slave trade

2019-03-29 10:53:21 UTC

Hahaha.

2019-03-29 10:54:08 UTC

What about the (((people))) who had those ships built in the first place?

2019-03-29 10:57:04 UTC

Yeah
It wasn't like Finland were biggest damn tar producer of the era
I mean even tho it has fallen out of usage I think Finland still produces most of worlds traditional tar simply because there is people who like to continue the tradition of old shipbuilding and tar burning and the edible tar is damn tasty even if EU thinks they could ban it

2019-03-29 10:58:41 UTC

Kind of interesting. Other than roofing and road building, we don't think a lot about tar.

2019-03-29 10:59:26 UTC

Altho finnish politicians are really cucked to eu and would probs do a backflip if there would come order from Brussels

2019-03-29 11:01:27 UTC

The road tar is a bit different, it ain't same stuff that you get from trees by burning them in certain way
That's generally why EU is against eating tar because they can't comprehend that people would eat something that they put into roads

2019-03-29 11:01:59 UTC

Tar candy is good and tar liquor is really nice thing

2019-03-29 11:02:09 UTC

Is that a resin based tar?

2019-03-29 11:03:16 UTC

We have soaps made from pine tar in America.

2019-03-29 11:06:37 UTC

Oh yeah tar soap is good stuff too
The edible kind of tar (same tar is used in ships and housing but production is a bit different, Im not a expert) ite gotten from scots pine or alder

2019-03-29 11:07:05 UTC

cool

2019-03-29 11:09:21 UTC

Usually when foreigners talk about tar it means tar that's based on petroleum, pitch or coal
So not so good stuff

2019-03-29 11:10:19 UTC

Yeah, that sticky shit that eats wooly mammoths.

2019-03-29 11:12:46 UTC

It's in finnish but if you're interested here's video of the traditional way to produce tar, I guess you could speed it up so it doesn't get boring https://youtu.be/WH4KbDNKXYc

2019-03-29 11:13:07 UTC

This is right up my alley.

2019-03-29 11:19:56 UTC

That was fascinating.

2019-03-29 11:47:12 UTC

You should pay them reparations and give them each a barrel of tar

2019-03-29 11:47:45 UTC

That tar is worth more than their whole village.

2019-03-29 11:48:09 UTC

oh nm

2019-03-29 11:49:05 UTC

We should give them all mirrors so they can confront the people responsible for their problems.

2019-03-29 15:12:26 UTC

^^

2019-03-29 17:07:48 UTC

So some Spanish MotoGp trackside reporter just got BTFO by some team manager.

2019-03-29 17:08:34 UTC

There is this one young rider, currently in Moto3, by the name of Gabriel Rodrigo. He is from the Barcelona area 🇪🇸 but his dad is from Argentina.

2019-03-29 17:09:13 UTC

Since there are a fuckton of Spanish riders in MotoGp/Moto2/Moto3, as a marketing strategy to try to lure South American sponsors, he competes for Argentina.

2019-03-29 17:10:54 UTC

This weekend's MotoGp event is in Argentina, in Termas de Río Hondo, so some Spanish MotoGp trackside reporter decided to ask to Rodrigo's team manager how he is doing and how special this race is for him as he is "Argentinian". His answer? "I do not think this GP is special in any way for him".
