It's not saying that I disbelieve the bible at all, but I read it with discernment

keeping in mind that it's an old documented, it has been tampered with

whatever the apostles say in it, if god has revealed those things to be true to me, then they become wisdom for me & what I know to be true

It's not that God even needed prophets, miracles or pretty much anything for that matter, but he chose a vehicle for his message and I'm guessing he wouldn't want his word to be tempered with, so
It's logical to conclude that whatever God's word is, it must be perfect
Now I'm not saying you gotta approach the Bible already indoctrinated, because as you said, taking something just cause someone says it is also condemned in the Bible

and theres also people who think reading it will make them more of a christian than others and whatnot, so it all plays into ego, and if you have ego like that, you can't know god
