Oh, I'm not keen on the theories they have it their framework.... Or much of it. I do like the occasional ones I meet who do care deeply.
I think for the most part it's more concerned with gaining privlages for women than gaining equality.
But what do you think @leuxd ?
I agree with you. Nowadays, these feminists aren't fighting to get the 'same rights as men', but privileges.
Oh, the fight for privlages has been going on a good long time.
Good long time? When the feminist movement started, wasn't it good?
I mean, I see people saying 'the only right women got was the right to have a job', so.. xD
Pretty sure only rich women had the *privilege* of not working. What do you consider feminisms first act?
There's a great deal of feminists who have a problem with social norms, while that does apply to both sexes vaguely
I have a problem with the traditional upbringing that some girls get, as I did
can you elaborate a bit more? ^
im curious
Well, basically the traditional "housewife" upbringing
I have a problem with the amount of difference in the way the two sexes are raised
I have a very orthodox family and through my grandparents I've always been told that I should be a good cook, stay pretty and try to attract a husband
gotchu
im against that
assuming our current society of course
again
a woman may still want to go for that
if a woman has to be a good housewife
then the man has to be a good provider
i also have a problem with the difference in how we raise girls and boys
i believe the whole feminist way of dealing with this is laughable
they want to teach boys to be effeminate
what id say we should do is raise both girls and boys to be "men"
to "grow up"
teach them respect, honor and how to be responsable
because although we do kind of do that with boys
sometimes in a toxic way
we never do that with girls
parents cater too much to girls
and thats not always a good thing
the longer you pamper a girl
the longer it will take her to realize how the world actually works
its a scary place
a rough place
maybe this is where all of the entitlement we see in todays society comes from
@leuxd As far as I've seen they celebrate getting the vote for women while, the whole time, ignoring the fact that men didn't have the vote. The Suffragettes were filthy rich terrorists who tried to kill people.
they strongly pushed for total war in 1914, and encouraged a full draft
