First off as an Orthodox Christian I will tell you this photo is not what it appears. We ARE NOT in communion with Rome and I seriously doubt we ever will be because they are heretics who refuse to turn from their sin. To be sure Rome will allow us to commune with them however we will not and do do not allow them to commune with us. I can walk into a Church of Rome and they will serve me however I am not allowed to partake nor would I. They have views we do not share in regards to; their pope, Mary and on and ON. There have been many attempts to reconcile but they will not part from their sin and so it continues from the Great Schism.

And Pat Bartholomew IS NOT the world wide Orthodox Pope. We have no ‘pope’. We have bishops and the greatest among the equals is the Bishop of Constantinople who if you recall made the final call in regards to The Russian Orthodox Church being over the Ukrainian Orthodox Church

Lord have mercy, he is not the ‘black’ pope 🙄 He is one bishop among many. He has no more or less power than any other bishop. He is not in union with Rome aside from encouraging the care of true refugees.

The Muslims took our traditions too, from prostration to headcoverings, to facing east....ALL taken from the Orthodox Church. Despicable. People don’t know a Roman priest from an Orthodox priest to a Muslim.

Be assured we are not on happy/happy joy/joy terms with Rome!

I was trying to figure out who was in the picture as it was not the actual black Pope of the Roman Catholics.

They have sort of two black Popes right now because the Black Pope and the White Pope are both Jesuits. The Black Pope is the Pope over the military a General really.

Only Jesuits can be the Black Pope.

No other White Pope was a Jesuit.
