I am against factory farming, but traditional animal agriculture is both more humane and accretive to the environment than feedlot bullshit.
The best meat comes from the happiest animals.
Doesn't make sense to stress them tf out just before slaughter.
It's why hunters always try for the cleanest kills.
Hell, even Temple Grandin figured out that we're going to eat meat, we might as well figure out how to make those grass-to-steak conversion engines run as smoothly as possible.
And yeah that is true about traditional farming lives stalk, but if i had the option to eat a prime steak that's tasty and the same but made in a lab? And it's cheaper? You bet i would go for it.
Meh, I have reservations on that.
Vegans adulterate the meat with their protests too
I won't be cheaper.
Cattle can literally restore deserts.
Yeah
We could rename it the Sahara grassland if we can get them Africans to move it into there
Eh, i do to. But when the tech gets that good, i can't deny it.
You are probably correct on that Xychotic, i don't have my hopes up for that scenario. But who knows, weirder stuff has happened in human history.
Then I would be out of a job.
There's a shitload of capital going into developing meat alternatives and it's just as easy as moving the cattle properly.
Enjoy tf out of this.
I recall seeing this talk
Seriously. Homedude changed my whole perspective on global farming in 22 minutes.
Anyway, work to do.
Yep, but i ain't talking about soy based veggie burgers or the like. I mean real tissue harvesting/growing. It's doable, but difficult at present.
But farming animals has a great and vital purpose in agriculture. Obviously.
Its like that guy that figured at 16 how to remove plastic from the ocean and nobody cares, meanwhile I am getting the nobel prize for glorified tantrum throwing. Somebody memed that here, i think.
We already got the tech, but people are too damned mentally ill to see that it is better than making people feel like they are doing something.
Hm, good point. Though if the bacteria are able to eat plastic...What happens if they go out of control? Can't kill trillions of cells in such a wide area...But it's a great way to clean the ocean, nonetheless.
His idea was mechanical
Oh okay. I heard about it but my memory sucks, and i forgot some details.
It wasnt a bacteria, it was a tube that filters the water.
Something to that effect
Ah, any videos you know that could give me more info..? I would like to know more, but ain't sure what to search for...
This is the guy
Okay, thanks. I'll watch it. 🙂
I've an ex teacher that created bacteria to decompose plastic
The result was a bacteria strain that took 72 hours in a radiation chamber to kill
Fucking terrifying
👀
I hope this guy gets to do what he wants to do. Seems like it's feasible.
And damn, that is fucking terrifying.
I'm getting off here for now guys, have a nice day.
Sa wasn't always a scientifically insignificant shithole
@CappyK Its a shame I grew up in that shithole. Why couldn't I be Japanese?
