Me and a few buddies of mine both experienced childhood with parents divorced, it was 50/50 all of us prefer our dads after being grown
oh
mb
Take that for what you will @poizon
Single father wins out over single mother and The benefit of having both parents is debatable
It might be good for the man in terms of time management
Especially as far as human instinct is concerned, The necessity of both parents is debatable
Right
anywho, i see fathers as the needed in the household because father are usually the ones to deal with the situation when kids "buck up" on their parents in their teens, the mothers role is crucial at the early stages with things like Brest feeding and making sure the home is clean and safe so the child doesn't eat a crayon and die, now keep in mind that women have essentially liberated themselves out of the parental confines with the invention of formula, daycare, and them entering the workforce
most of the women who raise children don't fill the roll that women traditionally had
but that's just my thoughts on the issue, i do think single parents can do well if they approach the issue in the right way (fathers working from home, or made enough to fill the roll as provider when the child is young for example) the issue is that i don't think most single parents approach the issue in the right frame of mind, for example single mothers are usually too strict when it comes to discipline or too lax because they try to "be the man of the house" when their child bucks up on them, or they try to act as a friend to talk them down and both have there fair share of issues
thank you for coming to my ted talk
Haha. I see I see.
if you can put yourself in a position where you can take off lets say 7 years off work or work from home you should be able to raise the kid just fine
after that they will be in school so you can resume a normal job
Did @poizon get his gf pregnant? 😮
Haha no no
boy o boy i have a fucked up meme for that situation, but i can't post it D,:
I ask because I'm essentially a traditionalist in a way, but I don't believe in marriage the way our modern society has it set up so I'm wondering if there's a work around.
that's a rough one
tbh even if you don't marry, and shit goes south she will end up with the kids, if you do marry and shit goes south she gets the kids and your shit
Exactly
lol get a nanny
That's what I'm thinking
Haha
Either way, the laws screw me for being a man and naturally wanting to be with a woman.
yep
women more or less covered all bases to make sure they have the power
because this is their hussle, it's the only thing that they do
that being said, were men, and where there's a will there's a way
Well, I guess I'm a traditionalist, but practically a mgtow in that I will not marry under our current laws. I do think there has to be a way to have a real marriage in where I am the head of the house, but the laws make that near impossible.
not near impossible, it is impossible
You're right
@poizon how old are you?
22
You going to college?
if you can work from around the world, you could try moving to a Mideastern country where the laws are somewhat better
but
that has it's own set of issues
Yeah. I'm screwed either way honestly. Even if I take a wife into the woods away from the degeneracy of modern life, there's always the gun of common law marriage and biased family courts at my head.
