I use wordcounter.net
170 words
I'm using Trelby which is an open sourced screenwriting software
so it refuses to copy and paste
My writing is so terrible tonight ngl
we're talking prequel dialogue
This takes place in a gas station. I'm trying to imply that the two have had some casual hookups behind the counter before but I'm failing miserably
She gets killed off shortly thereafter by some guys who come in for no reason other than they need to fuel up I guess?
*No witnesses.*
You do scriptwriting?
yes
I want to at least
neat
I do creative writing
erm
wait
That came otu wrong
oh no lol you good
the generic storytelling writing
tbh I think creative writing is a weird term as technically, all writing is creative
all except blogs
unless you're like me tonight lol
I think they're just referring to Storytelling
I'mma start calling it Storytelling which is what it is basically
basically
I'm kind of forcing myself to write this tonight which is part of the problem
It's also a situation I've never been in so that doesn't help
makes sense
does anyone else get nights like this? where you simply can't write well?
yes
dialogue has never been my strongsuit but like
ugh
they say you get better at things when you do them enough but tonight is a perfect example of deadwood dialogue
anyone have any tips on writing dialogue?
because online I'm getting "read it out loud"
or the ever popular "make it relate to the plot"
Yea i do that alone but then have these moments where I come up with perfect and amazing dialogue
I'm having a time right now where the characters are fighting me. I know what I want them to do and where I want the story to go but they just don't want to cooperate. I've always said the characters have a mind of their own and at some point they write the story
Lol
I thought they were flirting XD
