My grandfather who fought in Vietnam was trying to get a military discount at the store and a lady behind him goes, “hey you, they don’t accept that here.” Trying to get my pops to move so she could get he groceries payed for, and the cashier goes “Yes we do, whats your ID (or what ever they do to verify that your a vet)” and the lady goes “Your so privileged to have that discount, I should have it too!” And my pops goes “Exscuse me, did you see your friends get shot and bleed out next to you? Did you have to walk around in a jungle not know if your enemy would ambush you or not? Did you have to kill other people? No, so I think its you who is privileged.” And the lady was still pissy but it shut her up so quickly. He got his groceries and went on his way. And this was just this last year, around October. I cant believe people like that exist...
