maybe even understand it?

2021-01-15 15:20:06 UTC

The quote was for historical purposes. I didn’t say anything to insinuate otherwise. People have read and quoted pastors from the Revolution for decades. What makes it so wrong to do so now?

2021-01-15 15:20:33 UTC

It's irrelevant

2021-01-15 15:20:44 UTC

you're saying you have to submit to slavery

2021-01-15 15:20:51 UTC

Someone I know thinks that Adam and Eve can't be real because they inbred and that we would all be retarded if are species came from inbreeding. I asked him where he thinks people came from and he says a bunch of primates living in Africa that were survivors of a space nuke that wiped out that dinosaurs. I'vebeen heavily implying it, but I'm really tempted to just straight up say "do you really think that a bunch of primates happen to evolve all separately from one another and be compatible to the point where the human race could be created without any incest?"

2021-01-15 15:21:09 UTC

I'm not saying that quoting the bible is bad

2021-01-15 15:21:15 UTC

but when you use it in that term

2021-01-15 15:21:30 UTC

Are you talking to me?

2021-01-15 15:22:05 UTC

When there is only one family is in existence, that is the only way

2021-01-15 15:22:08 UTC

Yes

2021-01-15 15:22:17 UTC

^

2021-01-15 15:22:27 UTC

You realize that quote wasn’t a Bible verse, right?

2021-01-15 15:22:43 UTC

You said people have been quoting Revelation

2021-01-15 15:22:51 UTC

I just associated the two

2021-01-15 15:22:54 UTC

But I didn

2021-01-15 15:22:59 UTC

t think so

2021-01-15 15:23:00 UTC

I didn’t. Read my message again.

2021-01-15 15:23:04 UTC

I know

2021-01-15 15:23:20 UTC

I misread your message

2021-01-15 15:23:27 UTC

But even still, it is irrelevant

2021-01-15 15:23:38 UTC

What is irrelevant...?

2021-01-15 15:23:46 UTC

tbf, we are kinda retarded. <:KEK:795742276549607456>

2021-01-15 15:24:05 UTC

You said we have to submit to slavery and have your freedoms taken away

2021-01-15 15:24:12 UTC

Nvm

2021-01-15 15:24:15 UTC

No... I didn’t.

2021-01-15 15:24:39 UTC

“We have no choice left to us but to submit to absolute slavery and despotism"

2021-01-15 15:24:52 UTC

Again... that quote is for historical purposes, from a pastor during the Revolution. I just like history. I’m not some nut who wants Revolution.

2021-01-15 15:25:11 UTC

Okay, I suppose that makes sense

2021-01-15 15:25:34 UTC

Yes... that said from a guy during the British enslavement of the colonies.

2021-01-15 15:25:49 UTC

Yeah

2021-01-15 15:27:45 UTC

That's what I said <:KEK:795742276549607456> I literally wrote back "*speak for yourself*"

2021-01-15 15:31:00 UTC

That wasn't good conduct, brother

2021-01-15 15:32:43 UTC

But that may be true

2021-01-15 15:57:00 UTC

These verses are talking about how people in these verses are not treating the Lord Supper with respect. They were treating Supper like a feast. Hence why Paul talks about in verse 29. Anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. So treat the Lord Supper with respect and humility. Examine yourself before you partake in Supper.

2021-01-15 15:58:14 UTC

The corinthians church had alot of issues

2021-01-15 16:40:19 UTC

I did not say I dont want to be convinced period, In context it was you wont convince me that with just words or scripture without modern proof.

2021-01-15 16:41:55 UTC

Anyone can just say "Oh yeah, this will turn out fine. God is good and will do good." But if you said that in one of the german 'work' camps you would be lying to everyone who died.

2021-01-15 16:43:22 UTC

I poisonous hope is not better than depressing truth.

2021-01-15 16:54:45 UTC

Oh, I was talking about myself

2021-01-15 16:55:41 UTC

Like the kid was like "we'd all be retarded and we're obviously not"

2021-01-15 17:55:46 UTC

I think that the hope in the Gospel is transcendent of circumstances because it looks towards eternity rather than better life on earth
