Butt you know the thing is not holly
The inclination (homosexuality) is not a sin, as we all are born with inclinations. The sin is when u give in to those inclinations and act out on them with someone else. There are probably homosexuals that try to supress and overcome their inclinations and marry women and have normal kids. Sadly they don't get much ratings or recognition as role models for other homosexuals.
Yup
Sadly our society promotes degeneracy
I'm kinda christian myself, (christianinty and a budhism).
Peresonally, the lore of christanity is cringe, but everything moral it says good
I'm only 17, so it could be that I'm to young to read this stuff anyhow
I think it's because of the "👍 and 👎 " interfaces in our social media and the "if it bleeds it leads" sensationalism culture in our media that stories of hope and goodness doesn't get much attention (and doesn't translate to likes/ratings/subscribers for them to make it worth reporting money-wise).
Most definitly
Plus liberal and conseritive outlets are clickbiat mostly
I try to get to moral root of issues
that's a pretty good way of putting it
Have any of you heard of Jediism? I just learned about it today.
Jedi as in star wars?
Here's their website:https://www.templeofthejediorder.org/
It is basically star wars in real life.
Wow, i just opened the .org link. Only in america huh. 😆
My Bible teacher from school wanted us to find some of the craziest churches. He told us some weird religions and this was one of them.
Yup...that definitely fits the bill.
Another interesting one was a group of Christians in Japan, that I forgot the name of, who believed that true followers of Christ (Christians) would not be affected by a nuclear bomb.
Invulnerability (bullets bounce off) or everlasting life in heaven?
Like bomb goes off and they won't be killed or injured.
I think.
Yup, that fits with "weird" alright.
Pretty cool though.
It borders on recklesness too.
Yep.
What was the lesson ur teacher hoped to convey through the assignment?
It was awhile ago but he told us about how he was in Princeton, NJ driving around with his wife and decided to stop at a park. In the park, there were some people asking people the percentage of good people in the world.
If i hadn't already been a christian i probably would have been part of jediism lol
They got answers like 25% or 30 from a crowd of people. They told the crowd that 0% of people were good people. They sounded like protestants but they were scaring the people to join their church.
I believe my teacher wanted us to learn that we should always be careful of what others are preaching.
But like I said before, it was awhile ago so I must not have remembered everything.
*The evil that is in the world almost always comes from ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding.* —Albert Camus
Or u might have heard it said in popular culture as: "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" 😉
If people want to be gay so be it. If I want a boy friend I’m fine with it. Why should that be considered a sin when I’m just bringing happiness to the both of us
There was a man that survived both nukes
I don't know if he's related to the group or not.
It would be funny af if he was
He is dead now, he died of cancer
