*Wallace has Jesus on the inside*
So I have to ask for forgiveness for being who I am. I have to ask forgiveness for a natural thing I was born with
I didn’t choice to become gay
its forgiveness from *sin*
Sin derived from something I was born with
Being gay is natural, why would god create and allow something he supposedly hates, and the Bible originally said “man shall not sleep with boy the same way he shall sleep with a women” which was basically god saying don’t be a pedophile, since man and boy are similar it got lost in translation from Latin to English, and thus it was misread
yes you were born with a sin nature. but non christians don't have the holy spirit.
Why should I be punished for something I didn’t choose
I would argue that you did choose to be gay, your sin nature provided a temptation, and you want to give in to that temptation. I don't know you but that's my guess.
Also, why would there be a sin that only brings joy to the world.
Okay, so I find this boy I really like. We date and once we get to the next level. We can’t do anything. Even do our sexual activity won’t hurt anyone.
This is probably true, the time it was translated homophobia was high
@White Feather It's okay to have a buddy, but, by doing that you are living in sin, God does say that homosexuality is wrong, but I understand everyone has their struggles.
1.7% of the population;69% of the aids cases
According to cdc*
Butt you know the thing is not holly
The inclination (homosexuality) is not a sin, as we all are born with inclinations. The sin is when u give in to those inclinations and act out on them with someone else. There are probably homosexuals that try to supress and overcome their inclinations and marry women and have normal kids. Sadly they don't get much ratings or recognition as role models for other homosexuals.
Yup
Sadly our society promotes degeneracy
I'm kinda christian myself, (christianinty and a budhism).
I'm only 17, so it could be that I'm to young to read this stuff anyhow
I think it's because of the "👍 and 👎 " interfaces in our social media and the "if it bleeds it leads" sensationalism culture in our media that stories of hope and goodness doesn't get much attention (and doesn't translate to likes/ratings/subscribers for them to make it worth reporting money-wise).
Most definitly
Plus liberal and conseritive outlets are clickbiat mostly
I try to get to moral root of issues
that's a pretty good way of putting it
Have any of you heard of Jediism? I just learned about it today.
Jedi as in star wars?
Here's their website:https://www.templeofthejediorder.org/
It is basically star wars in real life.
Wow, i just opened the .org link. Only in america huh. 😆
My Bible teacher from school wanted us to find some of the craziest churches. He told us some weird religions and this was one of them.
Yup...that definitely fits the bill.
Another interesting one was a group of Christians in Japan, that I forgot the name of, who believed that true followers of Christ (Christians) would not be affected by a nuclear bomb.
Invulnerability (bullets bounce off) or everlasting life in heaven?
Like bomb goes off and they won't be killed or injured.
I think.
Yup, that fits with "weird" alright.
Pretty cool though.
It borders on recklesness too.
