If I recall correctly, people were **rioting** for months because cops were racist and killing black people. Then it became this “systemic racism” BS, but it was *never* framed as “black people are being killed by police at disproportionate rates because socioeconomic factors cause them to commit more crime”.

“ACAB” and “Defund the Police” do not support an understanding that socioeconomic factors are to blame.

Defund the police definitely does. It’s about putting more money into the community to prevent crime. Republicans hate signing new bills for programs so they can trim the fat from cops. Better negotiating tactic then asking to instill new programs. Keeping in mind the gap between putting money into the cops vs the community just gets larger and larger over the years. Acab is a more of a philosophical statement about being part of the system but not any individual of the system @DangerousFreedom

Again this idea that a black cop can’t be a part of a system that targets minorities or the poor is untrue
