tbh, in school, I did not love history class.

It wasn't until I started making my own ttrpg settings and learned to appreciate history.

I've always loved history, its the story of man kind afterall

For the longest time, I didn't give a fuck.

It's hard to give a fuck in school to be honest

I was able to fake it by being gifted.

The history they teach is sterile

Like most subjects

You will never hear about how the south used revolutionary war outfits for example because some seen the civil war as the next revolution

There is no causal relationship between history subjects; they are just taught as isolated propagandized events

They are used only to push a agenda

Just that she went from blind deaf chimp to chatty cathy.

And that she's a inspiration for... reasons

I mean sure, over coming mental and physical deficiencies are a inspiration, but i don't think she deserves the praise she gets

If all you hear is that she was blind and deaf and learned how to communicate and lived a fulfilling life as a communication specialist for the disabled.

But, she didn't do that.

She became a blind/deaf super socialist.
