I learned about deviated septum listening to Adam Carolla talking about it.

He explained that he basically couldn't eat without mouth breathing and it wasn't just because he had bad manners.

i sounded very congested in some of the streams i did in the past, and the ones where i didn't sound that congested required me making it really hot in my room so i could sweat through the congestion and open up my sinuses

I had noticed something to that effect but I always assumed it was how you talk, kind of like how TFM has that lispy thing going on.
