My first was a 1990 Volvo 240

My first car was $600 and broke down every other weekend.

See, if I had family who knew something about cars, that could be an option

The Volvo always broke down in the bougie-est nearby coastal town, like it hated hipsters or something

My family doesn't know much about cars. It was just expected. You either fixed it or you didn't have transportation and had to ride the bus. Screw doing that

I'm an only child but I have a large family with a ton of cousins and we all live in walking distance, ranging from the same street to 5 blocks over etc. I grew up around them and we were all raised as brothers and sisters so I don't really feel like an only child
