What happens when simeone gets banned, are they permanently kicked out or just temporarily?

bans are permanent but if they get in contact with a mod they can fill out a ban appeal form to be unbanned

Someone kicked can rejoin the server if they have the invite link, a ban means that discord account is unable to rejoin without contacting an admin and pleeding their case. Once a ban appeal is received, it is voted on by admins and mods.

The point of kicking is to slow down or discourage trolls by making them take extra steps and force legitimate users to read the rules again.
