damn
Hi
ya...really
this was late 80's to late 90's theory
the problem at the time was nobody had enough data to test the theory ..nor had the hdd space to even test it
lol
damn imagine how much a VHS tape would be worth now XD
they do now, but nobody has a decent mint vcr tape nor pcm encoder that takes vhs tapes to test it now
lol XD
> damn imagine how much a VHS tape would be worth now XD
@Knotty reminds me of the Gravity Falls meme where dipper is holding a three dollar bill and says “wow, this is completely worthless”
odds are netflix has all the movies on vhs backup in pcm data recordings
probably 😛
1 tape could backup a 120tb server cluster with ease
damn.... I am doing this wrong.... I have 2,000 TB of HDD drives backing up company servers.... WTF!
i still have a 2 dollar bill somewhere around here....last time i used one in a store...they looked at me funny
Give me 20 VHS tapes and I could have saved 1000's on them....
it's officially legal tender...and even the machine recognized it
I got arrested for using a $2 in Minneapolis at a Walmart 3 days ago.....
why...they're legal
because they are RETARDED
and the irs called the treasury because it's the irs' new boss
I have 1 of EVERY bill denomination EXCEPT the $100,000 :/ ALL of them, and at LEAST 1 of every print running that hosted major changes (size or images) so I have a bill collection that is worth a shit ton
same goes for the federal reserve...now controlled by us treasury ...as it should have always been
I can walk into a store and pay for something down to the PENNY with bills
well ur gonna need to with all these idiot chain stores demanding exact change
for a while there, they were credit/debit only ...then they needed exact change because of an imaginary coin shortage
They had $0.50 $0.25 $0.10 $0.05 $0.02 bills and most don't even know there was a $500 $1,000 $5,000 $10,000 bills at one time
they just couldn't go to the bank anymore...well not the bank they're used to using
lol right!
got any whole bitcoin or any whole crypto coins
got a challenge for ya..no, u don't have to spend it
The funny thing was during the coin shortage I started REALLY fucking with people then. Legit would walk into a store with $1500 in change in a 5 gal bucket, and say "how much for this?" then they would start counting it. They would usually count out $50 or so and say we will take this much. I would then tell them Okay that will be $100.
copy the code to a spare text file
look around on the net for a copy of yENC ...either in original, yENC32 or yENC64(last one ever made)
People got legit mad when I did that, and would start to argue....
dl it..have it decode the text file of the crypto ...let me know what comes out as
By the way, I noticed I’m a candidate for Meme of the Week. I didn’t vote for myself because I don’t want to be accused of cheating, and I’m not winning right now, but it’s an honor to be noticed.
yENC is an old large file to text convertor for posting text on newsgroups ...some ng servers would only allow text only, no file formats
ppl that used to use the ngs for trading stuff would use yENC to transfer files between ppl online ...sometimes pics or movies or even mp3's and such...sometimes archives
