Lockdowns on the other hand

2020-11-23 16:10:41 UTC

i think that has some deeper interests

2020-11-23 16:10:45 UTC

The problem is the mandate

2020-11-23 16:10:59 UTC

yeah thats unconstitutional

2020-11-23 16:11:06 UTC

once the government can start telling you "you must meet x requirement to live in society"

2020-11-23 16:11:25 UTC

They won't stop there...it sets the precedent for more egregious regulations in the name of "safety"

2020-11-23 16:11:33 UTC

(1) Denmark study.
(2) Cross contamination. Most people don't know how to wear medical masks properly, and therefore harm themselves because they touch the mask too much.

2020-11-23 16:11:35 UTC

So yeah...masks don't hurt.

2020-11-23 16:11:41 UTC

....but the liberty is the issue.

2020-11-23 16:12:58 UTC

Masks hurt more when they give you a bacteria infection.

2020-11-23 16:13:21 UTC

I think the jury is still out on that. A small number of studies does not confirm reality, but warrants further investigation.

2020-11-23 16:13:33 UTC

who pinged me?

2020-11-23 16:14:20 UTC

I was reading through the article that the Annals of Internal Medicine did one the Denmark study and it says in there "no assessment of whether masks could decrease disease transmission from mask wearers to others", so it doesn't exactly refute anything the CDC has been saying, at least up to a week ago

2020-11-23 16:15:10 UTC

Regardless...people who are willing to give up their liberties for short-term will eventually end up losing both.

2020-11-23 16:15:20 UTC

Trying to stop the spread of covid is the equivalent of trying to stop the spread of the common cold.

2020-11-23 16:16:26 UTC

Mark my words now.....when this is all done, you WILL start seeing an enormously increased amount of regulations aimed at controlling different aspects of your life in the name of health.

2020-11-23 16:17:05 UTC

I wouldn't be surprised if certain areas implement them for flu seasons...I wouldn't be surprised if airlines start making it a requirement that you must submit a vaccination history

2020-11-23 16:17:18 UTC

...which I'm all for vaccines....but I'm not for force....I'm not for mandates

2020-11-23 16:17:53 UTC

...we're talking about a weird mix of corporate / government authoritarianism...and they'll use that "health" basis to justify all types of regulations that will just benefit a small group in reality

2020-11-23 16:18:29 UTC

Like now...small businesses are hurting...but the tech billionaires are getting richer because you are now LEGALLY forced to pretty much only use their services while the commoners rot.

2020-11-23 16:21:04 UTC

Yeah dude, if they force vaccines I'm going to war.

2020-11-23 16:21:57 UTC

Agreed. I'm all for vaccines...I mean hell, I've worked on research that indirectly benefited vaccine research when I was still a researcher....

2020-11-23 16:22:25 UTC

but I'm not okay with authoritarianism...and we are quickly moving towards that...all so that people can be comfortable pets that live without any perception of risk

2020-11-23 16:23:22 UTC

...but much like the cow that does not give milk, there will be little use for them once they have nothing to offer. Down the road, when automation rules and replaces the need for most jobs...there will be no need for the masses....the best they can hope for is to be a well-fed pet of the elite.

2020-11-23 16:25:58 UTC

@Catsmart "Quick and dirty one" - I imagine Kamala is familiar with that all too well.

2020-11-23 16:26:24 UTC

Is it just me or do parents that are lean right act like a left politician to their kids and parents that lean left act like a right politician towards their kids?

2020-11-23 16:27:36 UTC

Yeah but most of the virus particles are suspended in aerosols, tiny tiny water droplets. Those tend to be larger and (at least the theory goes) that many of them will be hindered by the mask.

2020-11-23 16:27:55 UTC

But I'm against the public mandate....I'm only okay with mandates for hospitals, nursing homes, etc. etc.

2020-11-23 16:28:00 UTC

Nvm

2020-11-23 16:28:08 UTC

You're going to have to elaborate.

2020-11-23 16:28:23 UTC

I didn't understand what you meant exactly @ScarerOfTheCrow

2020-11-23 16:32:00 UTC

No pun intended, believe it or not, must have been a bidean slip πŸ˜†

2020-11-23 16:32:00 UTC

Where do I post satire video?

2020-11-23 16:32:26 UTC

Read rule 15. If it fits under that rule, choose a meme channel. If not, <#719777555242287115>

2020-11-23 16:32:42 UTC

Ok thanks

2020-11-23 16:36:35 UTC

About particle size, if you're not wearing PROPERLY FIT and totally UNTOUCHED afterwards N95s or N100s (or if you're sick with the virus and use valved respirators) you're pretty much doing nothing. The size of vaping smoke particles: anywhere from 150nm to 450nm. The size of covid virii: 60nm to 140nm. What does a cloth mask do to stop vaping smoke particles? https://newtube.app/user/TonyHeller/nBpPU6o

2020-11-23 16:40:17 UTC

I would ask you to at least attack what they are actually arguing for, not what they aren't. they are arguing that masks block some of the the particles the COVID-19 ride on, thus reducing how much of it gets in the air, thus reducing the chance that someone will get it. COVID-19 rarely travels in the air itself

2020-11-23 16:49:09 UTC

I was exposed to a person who had covid for a total of 30 hours.

2020-11-23 16:49:45 UTC

Inside a vehicle; I tested negative for covid.

2020-11-23 16:49:51 UTC
