@Nope It is factually the opposite, MANY places where mask mandates have been enacted the case numbers have skyrocketed (the AAPS link above shows the case in France), and places like Finland and Sweden where masks were NOT mandated either did NOT get pandemic level cases or they just had a normal outbreak case number and mortality curve that fell off to even achieve reduced overall mortality rates when compared to previous years.
Exactly, ineffective mask usage is one of the principal cons against masks. EVEN if you have a mostly effective N95 or N100 mask, if you don't adequately fit it and/or constantly fidget with it you're even worse off.

I've already quoted scientific studies and major physician organizations that extensively explain how in general masks (except MAYBE very well used specific high filtering respirators without valves) are pretty much useless, and I also used particle size logic to support that claim, WHERE'S THE ATTACK?
Which probably means you already had it, maybe asymptomatic, or have had some sort of cross immunity from some older different coronavirus and are immune to it now.
The mask mandates are a DIRECT CONSEQUENCE of believing that masks "do something" while science has quite frankly pointed out that masks do precious little even while following the best of mask usage guidelines (which 99.9% don't), and lockdowns and social distancing as well are ill motivated and at best based in incomplete science. For example the Finnish government DID NOT mandate mask usage, and they still have one of the LOWEST mortality rate from the covid virus: "Research has shown that widespread use of face masks have LITTLE OR NO EFFECT on reducing the spread of upper respiratory infections, according to a report presented a government-appointed working group led by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (MSAH) on Friday. "There is no scientific evidence for its use," Emerita Professor Marjukka Mรคkelรค said at a press briefing to unveil the report. The writers of the report reviewed scientific research on the use of protective masks and also examined mask practices and guidelines in several other countries."
