@Artfu1D0dger Calling my extended family to move the hell out of there

2020-10-04 09:42:01 UTC

^and more than likely these folks don't know the history of the Confederacy...the southern states got looted, people got raped, murdered, and many places were burned to the ground; everyone knows the south 'lost' but most don't know about the atrocities that occurred

2020-10-04 12:36:23 UTC

Its why us Southerners still got a feiry hatred for the north and the west

2020-10-04 12:41:33 UTC

Tho not as much hatred for the west

2020-10-04 12:48:43 UTC

i think it's more of the reason why u have hatred for the north is the fact that the ones that got u into that war in the first place moved north

2020-10-04 12:48:58 UTC

just to avoid the backlash from the south

2020-10-04 12:50:44 UTC

also alot of the history was basically re-invented post war of 1812 so we really don't know the whole truth except thru oral history and archivists

2020-10-04 12:51:02 UTC

alot of history is still buried for both north and south

2020-10-04 12:51:18 UTC

Nah, its because of the destruction the North caused, plus they really fucked up with reconstruction 2 years into fixing everything

2020-10-04 12:54:27 UTC

And also the North pretty much destroying the Souths entire economy that was already being put in shambles after the Tariff of Abominations

2020-10-04 12:54:34 UTC

saw pics of the destruction ...seemed a bit excessive

2020-10-04 12:55:32 UTC

the destruction in the north was no where near as excessive ...and even the south had naval support from other nations

2020-10-04 12:56:23 UTC

or so we thought ...history is flakey on that part

2020-10-04 12:57:21 UTC

The South barely got anywhere into Northern territory so any destruction was very minimal in the North. And Britian and France held some support for the South, but didnt do much beyond selling weapons to us as they couldnt do any actual combat due to the threat of Russia

2020-10-04 12:57:43 UTC

looking thru some england's naval historical archives a few months ago, apparently england's navy post war of 1812 went on rampage to wipe out the slave trade in the atlantic til post civil war

2020-10-04 12:58:43 UTC

which seemed very odd according to most of usa's history

2020-10-04 12:58:53 UTC

for that time period

2020-10-04 12:59:00 UTC

Funny enough tho, Canada showed support for the Union, despite being a puppet country to Britian who showed support for the South

2020-10-04 12:59:10 UTC

well most of the 'official' history

2020-10-04 12:59:45 UTC

ya...history is strange when things don't add up to a global picture of events

2020-10-04 13:00:22 UTC

wait til u discover there was multiple wars around the world going on around 1812, not just in usa

2020-10-04 13:00:24 UTC

Also the biggest reason why Britian showed support for the South was because of the cotton trade, and a massive cotton shortage in both Britian and France due to the Union blockade

2020-10-04 13:00:53 UTC

cotton and food resources ...south had alot of crops

2020-10-04 13:00:59 UTC

Yep

2020-10-04 13:01:08 UTC

Tho it was primarily for cotton

2020-10-04 13:01:20 UTC

well it was a cash crop

2020-10-04 13:01:36 UTC

One of the biggest right next to Tabaco

2020-10-04 13:02:04 UTC

which i'm smoking right now ..tobacco

2020-10-04 13:03:38 UTC

still digging up hidden history of the 1800's ...mostly concentrating around 1812 era

2020-10-04 13:04:11 UTC

something happen world wide to bury most of it between 1810-1811

2020-10-04 13:04:37 UTC

1812 worldwide seemed to be a resources war

2020-10-04 13:05:26 UTC

Yeah, a major conflict in the Pacific between France Britian and Russia, and as well as over in Europe between Prussian states, England, France, and Russia

2020-10-04 13:05:54 UTC

look further ...it's world wide

2020-10-04 13:06:14 UTC

not just western europe

2020-10-04 13:06:21 UTC

or eastern usa

2020-10-04 13:06:39 UTC

Well I did mention conflict in the pacific

2020-10-04 13:07:02 UTC

eastern europe, southern europe, asia, africa

2020-10-04 13:07:10 UTC

even some areas of middle east

2020-10-04 13:07:15 UTC

It was essentially a unofficial world war that was going on

2020-10-04 13:07:47 UTC

well internet opened up a world of histories buried under dogma
