Well, it is a hollywood flick in the end

That's one thing that bugged me about the new Wonder Woman; they bring up important plot points 4/7 into the movie

(to be honest I couldn't keep track of the acts so I'm estimating how far at this point)

Ive heard mixed things, potholes are the worst and this seems full of them

It is full of them

But it also doesn't explain or even introduce important concepts within the first half hour

Like suddenly a weapon will do a new thing and it was never even hinted at

(I won't spoil)

When writing, do your best to limit plotholes, or intentionally leave them so,you could maybe write about it later, fill it in, but have a plan for them

And definitely explain crap at the beginning. I learned that from college luckily

Exposition is boring however, you want to keep it interesting

It was really kind of sad seeing such an expensive movie pull stuff out of a hat

But at least hint at certain things

Once again Rick Riordan was really good at introducing everyone to his world of the gods, without it just being boring Exposition

Humor tends to help if you cant actually find ways to make it work

I don't remember much of Percy Jackson but I never went "what the heck" to my knowledge

I was big into Greek Mythos at the time so it was really interesting to me as a kid, so i read it multiple times, still do sometimes

Its aged a bit I think, but it still hits in all the right places with good worldbuilding, setting up long term character growth, plot holes to fill, and some pretty clever humor

Another story idea I had was about a group of American Paladins.

They are an order of Holy knights who first came to be before the Revolution.

In the 21st century they use guns and swords to fight evil.

guns??? seems a bit op

Actual demons and vampires ect

The bullets are made with enchanted metals.
