here, this is a decent example of the genre
TFK is an awesome band
indeed. TFK and Red are probably the two bands that got me into metal
If u like metal u might like Silverstein
thx
Green Day is good. ๐
Thus far, I have a basic chorus written. The guitar used is a Schechter C1 on an EMG 85, tuned to drop Bb. I am thinking I am going to tune up to C# and re-rec tho. :/
i still dont know how I am going to rap over this tho xD
maybe if you made the beat a little bit quieter so you could hear the guitar a bit more, it would be easier to rap over? it sounds good, but im not sure if its really something to rap over, sounds like a good instrumental break. nicely done dude
ye, idk
i dont really like it
thanks though, I appreciate it
Im think maybe rap leading up the chorus?
but that might sounds weird..
your def right I need to adjust the audio levels though. The guitar sounds faint and is clipping really bad. :/
that little red in the bottom next to master is the visual proof your right
I re-recorded it at a higher tuning. I think it sounds a bit better, but idk. I might scrap this idea. :\
yeah, im not sure, I like singing but im not good with music making or instruments. what you have so far sounds like something a lot more chill. Ill try to give you an idea of what I think might work.
you have the original clip as an intro leading up, then the guitar fades out and you get the beat for an extra second then all silence while you just get one "tsch tsch tsch tsch" then some chill/relaxed rapping goes through with a really light beat, then once you finish the verse your last couple words blend in with the original clip and it goes for a short chorus.
I hope I explained my idea well
oh wow the changes for the second one make it sound completely different. and this might just be a difference in opinion/difference in preference, but I still think the beat could be a little bit quieter to mix with the guitar a little bit more
haven't touched the drums yet*
gotcha. one problem I see is the sound of the drums might get lost in the guitar, the drums might need to contrast the guitar/sound a little bit higher to stand out more. Im no expert, I dont know a lot of the terms, but I guess what Im describing would be HI-top? is that the right word for the sharper/higher sounding cymbals
either way, I like how its coming along. hope I can give you some helpful suggestions and feedback ๐ Im not doing this with the intention of making you change everything to how I like it, just want to make sure you know that
I think the "tsch" sound is a hit-hat, but, tbf, im not an expert either.
no no I know your not
I came here to ask for help
yes! hi-hat. thats what I was trying to think of
I have to leave for work soon, but I should have just enough time to try your idea on the drums.
awesome!!! I hope it ends up sounding somewhat decent lol. if anything, I hope my suggestions give people inspiration to try other things that hadnt thought of
I think I deleted about half the drum track... -_- awesome xD
oh shit
ok i got it back
almost made a very costly mistake there xD
phew. thats good at least. what do you use? are you actually playing the instruments or do you use a program to make music? I would love to make music, but Im terrible at it, havent used a good program, and cant play instruments
I run my electric guitar into the computer via an audio interface. The drums I use are sims though. anyways, I'll send the new audio clip later, but rn I have to leave for work. sorry! thanks again m8
no worries! I got stuff im dealing with off an on too
USAF is so badass.
Is this something along the lines of what your were saying? Its not the final version, as I want to change some of the velocities (how hard the drums are hit in the sim), but I think it is a good starting place. Also, this track just loops for a minute so don't bother to listen to the entire thing! xD
