thanks though, I appreciate it

2020-10-24 17:57:13 UTC

Im think maybe rap leading up the chorus?

2020-10-24 17:57:21 UTC

but that might sounds weird..

2020-10-24 17:58:19 UTC

your def right I need to adjust the audio levels though. The guitar sounds faint and is clipping really bad. :/

that little red in the bottom next to master is the visual proof your right

2020-10-24 18:02:32 UTC

I re-recorded it at a higher tuning. I think it sounds a bit better, but idk. I might scrap this idea. :\

yeah, im not sure, I like singing but im not good with music making or instruments. what you have so far sounds like something a lot more chill. Ill try to give you an idea of what I think might work.

you have the original clip as an intro leading up, then the guitar fades out and you get the beat for an extra second then all silence while you just get one "tsch tsch tsch tsch" then some chill/relaxed rapping goes through with a really light beat, then once you finish the verse your last couple words blend in with the original clip and it goes for a short chorus.

I hope I explained my idea well

2020-10-24 18:05:37 UTC

oh wow the changes for the second one make it sound completely different. and this might just be a difference in opinion/difference in preference, but I still think the beat could be a little bit quieter to mix with the guitar a little bit more

2020-10-24 18:06:17 UTC

hmm, ye I like that idea, I think that'll be my next move.
as for the second clip, yes I haven

2020-10-24 18:06:26 UTC

haven't touched the drums yet*

2020-10-24 18:08:21 UTC

gotcha. one problem I see is the sound of the drums might get lost in the guitar, the drums might need to contrast the guitar/sound a little bit higher to stand out more. Im no expert, I dont know a lot of the terms, but I guess what Im describing would be HI-top? is that the right word for the sharper/higher sounding cymbals

2020-10-24 18:09:26 UTC

either way, I like how its coming along. hope I can give you some helpful suggestions and feedback 😄 Im not doing this with the intention of making you change everything to how I like it, just want to make sure you know that

2020-10-24 18:10:05 UTC

I think the "tsch" sound is a hit-hat, but, tbf, im not an expert either.

2020-10-24 18:10:19 UTC

no no I know your not

2020-10-24 18:10:23 UTC

I came here to ask for help

2020-10-24 18:10:58 UTC

yes! hi-hat. thats what I was trying to think of

2020-10-24 18:11:05 UTC

I have to leave for work soon, but I should have just enough time to try your idea on the drums.

2020-10-24 18:11:51 UTC

awesome!!! I hope it ends up sounding somewhat decent lol. if anything, I hope my suggestions give people inspiration to try other things that hadnt thought of

2020-10-24 18:12:02 UTC

I think I deleted about half the drum track... -_- awesome xD

2020-10-24 18:12:12 UTC

oh shit

2020-10-24 18:12:38 UTC

ok i got it back

2020-10-24 18:12:50 UTC

almost made a very costly mistake there xD

2020-10-24 18:14:17 UTC

phew. thats good at least. what do you use? are you actually playing the instruments or do you use a program to make music? I would love to make music, but Im terrible at it, havent used a good program, and cant play instruments

2020-10-24 18:20:47 UTC

I run my electric guitar into the computer via an audio interface. The drums I use are sims though. anyways, I'll send the new audio clip later, but rn I have to leave for work. sorry! thanks again m8

2020-10-24 18:58:53 UTC

no worries! I got stuff im dealing with off an on too

2020-10-25 17:06:43 UTC

USAF is so badass.

2020-10-25 17:29:48 UTC

Is this something along the lines of what your were saying? Its not the final version, as I want to change some of the velocities (how hard the drums are hit in the sim), but I think it is a good starting place. Also, this track just loops for a minute so don't bother to listen to the entire thing! xD

2020-10-25 17:31:04 UTC

I would only have it play once, so it would not loop like that

2020-10-25 19:17:56 UTC

idk I think its too fast

2020-10-26 15:12:11 UTC

yes, dude he is great. helped me get through an interesting phase of life, to say the least.

2020-10-26 16:43:50 UTC

I decided to pretty much scrap everything and start over, just cause' I wasn't really vibin with what I initially had. anyways, this is more of an idea at this point, but I feel like it jives a bit better. idk.. it def needs some cleaning up.
