ew why are you making me thinking about this
Diehard is a Christmas movie
Has anyone read Harrison Bergeron?
Was amazing
Ye
No
I was just thinking about it the other day with the idea of reparations, bringing certain groups down so that others can get a chance at power, the way that the school systems are teaching students, and the idea of victimization and oppression. Idk, it sort was like "huh, well that's not good". Trying to bring everyone down for the sake of equal outcome basically
so yeee
think people should go reread their dystopian novels and shake their head as they watch it morph into reality
Is anyone here going to see WW84?
Anyone watching season 4 of S.W.A.T. and sick and tired of the BLM and Covid crap?
tenet is loved for the aesthetic and hated for the content lol
I loved it.
so did I
Is that movie based on the book The Tenant by Roland Topor or something else?
No its not based on it
it's an entirely new concept
like basically bullets go backwards, they crash a plane into an art center place, and some woman shoots her husband and ties a rope to him and yeets him off a yacht
Also I don't think it's a coincidence that the guy who crashed the plane was arabic...
Alright. I wasn't sure. I found the book the Tenant shortly before I saw the movie going around and didn't know if they had any relation.
Thank you. :)
youre welcome
From what I'd heard, they didn't seem like the same thing.
I looked up the book and no way
not even close lmao
Lmao. I don't follow movies much so, the timing of finding the book and the movie coming out was just coincidental ahahah
just finished Fahrenheit 451😩
highly recommend
I just finished watching The Midnight Sky, and it was really good.
Has a real punch in the gut ending, though
It was an amazing book
Indeed💯
Now you should read 1984
Brave New World is also really good.
i read that for class and initially thought it was kind of bad, but as i stewed on it over the months, i've realized maybe that's where it's closer to reality than 1984 or Fahrenheit 451 for our dystopia future
(Honestly, I liked Brave New World way better than Fahrenheit 451)
I haven't read the book for Brave New World, but I'm getting ready to watch the show
i think it's on hulu, right? saw the trailer, looks so slick and awesome. tell us how you feel afterward
It's on Peacock. And it's streaming for free until the 31st.
After that you have to upgrade to premium
