Yeah like Libya? They want Gaddafi back now.
I mean, Gaddafi of all people.
That guy killed people!
After more research, I would keep what I said the same but replace Azerbaijan with Armenia. I think the U.S should support Armenia
Also NATO has Turkey, which has Erdogan as leader.
Erdogan buys oil from Isis
Erdogan also wants to bring back the Ottoman empire and "finish the job started a 100 years ago" (aka kill armenians)
I don't like that Turkey is in NATO but I believe it is a big enough player to warrant its membership
"Embodiment of all that is good" my ass
My response was not really pointed at you. I have a decent understanding what is at stake globally. I was more so refering to the person above my original comment.
oh the 4th reich guy
sorry
Wouldn't call nato the 4th reich but i dont like it at all
NATO has one country I dont like
Turkey
Thats the problem
it does good and is the equivilant to the UN without Russia and China
Erdogan is unpredictable
I personally don't like NATO's charter and how it has allowed its' members to take advantage of one another. I understand it's purpose during the Cold War, but I think the roots of corruption are so intrensic to it's creation that it needs to be completely rehashed.
The UN aint an alliance btw
If nato wants to do something good they should start preparing against Xi
I think there more focused on Russian aggression
That is a very tiny speck compared to China
My issue with the UN is that it is an independant body of non-elected officers trying to impose legislation without representation. I think we had a war about that, oh back in the 1700-1800's or there abouts.
They're going around and claiming other country's land
The US, South Korea, and Japan are dealing with China
its another cold war/arms race
Yeah the US wont be around for long with Joe
there will be more elections
Ik
But 4 yrs is a long time
not enough time for China to become a super power
... in some ways they already may be...
Heck look at their navy
After spending some time in Asia, I would define Russia and China as two grumpy brothers forced to rely on one another. They will cover each other's backs, while bickering the whole time. Russia wants all of Europe, China wants all of Asia, so for now they are not at cross purposes, and they "share ideals" so it's a passable working relationship.
They have a new stealth destroyer and are building 8 more
And they have new AShMs, and adding new ships 24/7
their sphere of influince is smaller than the US and prodomanatly economic not millitary
Thats kinda important as well
