I haven't heard anything about that. Even mainstream media and social media would likely have a hard time to hide major military movement of China towards the US. Both China and the US know that a traditional war with each other would be a disaster for both sides. China would also have to contend with all the US allies who would be dragged into a war like that. For all intensive purposes, that would be World War III. It makes much more sense to subvert political control to get their desired results rather then by military force.

how we have seen China over the years, I don't know if a war is fully off the table.

War is good for the economy in general but an attack on main land US would undermine a Biden presidency because no way you can get gun control through then with people seeing it as defending against an invader and for a Trump presidency, there would be no doubt Trump would retaliate with overwhelming force.

It would also be really hard for Democrats to cut the military or say how important things like the Green New Deal is when all people are worried about is the survival of the nation.
