Yep that's good
Especially with leaves, those things are so loud
I park my four wheeler 200 yards away from the stand and walk the rest
A little trick for leaves is fairly simple
Sweep them out of your way.
Before season, when you're still looking at places
Make yourself a trail.
Keep it swept clean and even the deer will follow it
Well I hunt on dirt bike trails so that’s covered, the deer just love the trails
Yep, they'll use the easiest routes they can find just as people will, but the bigger the buck the less he'll want to be around areas with lots of human activity, too, so might want to get away from the dirt bike trails if they're frequently used
No there not used when it gets cold, also I have i dirt bike track in my back yard so nobody uses it except my family, also I just got a Ruger .350 legend that I’m excited to use
I've not tried the 350 legend myself, but it seems like it would be a great brush gun, lower range but massive impact
I'd love to try it in a hardwood bottom
Got the perfect little place by a creek for it
Low recoil, accurate and good stopping power. But nobody seems to have bullets for it.
I’ve never taken any long range shots at deer either, I’ve always used a crossbow and a .20 gauge
Funny, I see them everywhere
It's one of the few rounds I've seen available actually in stores for the past few months
Must be all the stores near me just don’t care to stock them
Highly possible, as it's not that popular a gun in most places just yet
Dunno about making new rounds, but I'll never use reloads for hunting
I've had too many bad experiences with them just target shooting, don't trust them.
Understandable, have a great day.
Hmm. I get that
What do you use to hunt with?
Who u askin?
for bow season I have a PSE Fang 350XT, rifle season i use my 25 year old Savage .308
Both I guess.
Nice. For bow season, I use a recurve, and for rifle, I will use either a crossbow, or a .243.
Really you’ve had that gun for 25 years
If I'm in the thick, like really close quarters, 25 yard max shot, I'll use my Judge
My dad has had a little bolt action .22 for nearly 40 years. You take care of your guns, they will last.
Used to use a PSE Stinger XE for bow season, but since my hernia I can't use compound or recurve, have to crossbows
I use a maverick .20 gauge for close quarters
And yeh, my pops got me that .308 for my 10th birthday
Nice.
I've got a bolt action .22, no clue how old it is. Know it's older than me
Handed down from gramps to pops to me
I use it for squirrels and rabbits
I have a Henry 17 hmr that my dad gave me
