What bow hunting tips do y’all have

@j_dog72 Don’t take a shot with the deer facing towards you at an angle otherwise you’ll hit bone

@j_dog72 broadside shots only, there's no such thing as "too much scent killer", and while deer tend to jump at gunshots, they seem to duck at bows, but so long as you can hit a baseball at whatever yardage you're shooting, you should be good

Oh and, never shoot at a moving target. Always make them stop. A whistle works, a grunt is better

2020-12-10 02:13:18 UTC

Ok thanks

2020-12-10 02:14:34 UTC

Is this your first season hunting?

2020-12-10 02:15:46 UTC

With a bow I usually used a 270

2020-12-10 04:06:24 UTC

I have a 70 pound compound bow but bow hunting just seems too complicated.

2020-12-11 06:59:01 UTC

It's complicated when you use a bow.

2020-12-11 06:59:10 UTC

Now if you have a Remington Model 700

2020-12-11 06:59:13 UTC

Its a lot easier

2020-12-11 12:59:54 UTC

Unfortunately gun season ended

2020-12-12 03:46:03 UTC

i have a question for hunters

2020-12-12 03:46:29 UTC

can you hunt year round

2020-12-12 03:46:40 UTC

depending on the tool you use to hunt with

2020-12-12 03:54:30 UTC

No there is a time for hunting with guns, bows, and muzzle loaders, this time goes from I think October 15 to January 1

2020-12-12 04:16:08 UTC

Depends on state but you can hunt coyotes, hogs, skunks/opposums/raccoons can be killed year round

2020-12-12 04:33:52 UTC

cool

2020-12-12 04:34:07 UTC

i think i’m gonna start hunting next year

2020-12-12 04:47:04 UTC

@[dangle] if you going to start hunting be prepared to spend a few thousand dollars to start off. I would go hunting with a friend first to make sure you like sitting in a stand for 10 hours a day

2020-12-12 14:35:48 UTC

Plus you need to get hunters safety class and licenses

2020-12-12 14:38:12 UTC

Plus depending on where you hunt. I hunt on a private club so it as a thousand dollar membership fee + 300 for utilities and 200 for a spot to put a camper or little camp and that you need to pay every year.

2020-12-12 14:39:38 UTC

And depending on the size of your camper prices are higher. We have a 50 amp so utilities are more expensive than if you were to have a 30 amp.

2020-12-12 14:40:15 UTC

The stuff you need doesn't cost a lot besides for a gun and stand but the costs add up quickly

2020-12-12 14:41:32 UTC

And spend the extra money to buy a box blind instead of a tree stand or tripod

2020-12-12 14:41:45 UTC

It will make your life a lot easier

2020-12-12 15:17:38 UTC

I'm getting trolled

2020-12-12 15:17:45 UTC

All these turkey and no deer

2020-12-12 15:19:32 UTC

Usually the deer and turkey roam in packs together

Hooded merganser?

I was using this little squirrel as aim steadiness practice lol

2020-12-12 17:50:22 UTC

My crosshair was right on his little bushy tail

2020-12-12 17:59:27 UTC

Some good pork but they uprooted the entire plot so it's gonna have to be replowed after deer season
