I always forget the .300 AAC
Yep, many, many uppers and barrels for this cartridge.
Lol oh yeah
Does it use the same bolt? I think it does.
You just need to change the barrel
I think it needs a different buffer assembly, I might be wrong.
Bigger spring maybe. Those things are all modular, swap parts
I have a DPMS Panther in 5.56
nice
Was looking it up on google, supposed to be able to just swap the barrel for 300 blackout from 5.56, if you use an adjustable gas block you might need a heavier buffer for cycling purposes, but shoot it first and adjust the gas block to see if it will cycle with no issues first
Anyone have any idea of how much those are worth normally or what kind they are?
I'm wondering if that's a steal
Armslist is awesome
Yeah lots of cool stuff <:TrumpSmile:720121948088041513>
5.56 is a good all-around caliber. I've anchored deer with it, no problem.
.300 Blackout works same buffer and all. Just run two separate uppers (and be REALLY careful not to mix ammo - strongly suggest different magazines for the two calibers). Really like my .300 BLK.
@Sage would that be better than a .308 in a Red Dawn scenario where you live in the forest and hunt but also fight off commies?
or even 30-06?
I've never shot bigger than a 5.56 and I don't have knowledge of anything bigger really lol so I really don't know.
Also you can run it subsonic and still do crazy damage
.300 BLK falls pretty well short of 7.62x39. It's like .30 Carbine on steroids... 110 grain bullets at around 2200 ft/sec.
@HUNTER4639 That scenario I'm probably looking to grab whatever the other side is using just so I've got ammo. If I could, for hunting I'd probably grab a decent .22 rifle and a billion rounds of ammo (AKA about 5 pounds worth), because head shots kill deer just as dead as if not deader than heart/lung shots.
That's true lol. I guess I'm set then considering a .22 is all I have 😆
I have a Ruger 10-22 with 4 10 round magazines
In urban fights, like in Chechnya, the little .22 was popular as a sniper rifle. Shots were rarely over 50m, and you just had to aim at any exposed skin. Shooters would tape a water bottle over the muzzle (DO NOT DO THIS, IT'S ILLEGAL AS HELL) for a field-expedient and effective silencer.
In the right situation, a quiet little .22 can get you an upgrade.
Something tells me if it comes down to urban fighting all rules of legality wont really matter much any longer..
I mean right now. Don't try that thing I mentioned, 'cause ATF has no chill.
@Sage 300 Blackouts are nice. My friend has one. Stainless barrel. Packs a wallop on coyotes
I lost these two in a boating accident
Rip
what is that
"I lost it in a boating accident"
obviously its referring to something, and you didnt lose it in a boating accident
i think
since everyone has that problem lol
Ive heard many people refer to that
