Drive by shootings are illegal. So its obvious full autos are choice there. Probably add some cocaine in the mix since, fuck the law, and proceed to mag dump after mag dump. Not like the law mattered to begin with.
Gun laws only harm the law abiding. Funny how Chicago has virtually banned guns yet has some of the highest gun crime in the world.
Yea but no criminals have full auto yet
*Yet*
Criminals have full auto already. The easiest home-built, home-designed repeating firearm is a full-auto-only SMG. They're really popular with biker gangs in Australia. https://homemadeguns.wordpress.com/
And full auto is generally pointless, especially in the civilian world. Should it be legal? Hell yeah. But I'd never use it anywhere but the range (where I already do sometimes).
No full auto in US yet cuz the news would be all over it
They want any reason to ban guns
But the main reason we don't see more FA stuff used in the US is criminals here prefer handguns, because they're easy to conceal.
And if you've never shot a full auto handgun... go shoot a converted Glock sometime. Holy pointless giggle machine.
I have shot a full auto glock
Its hard to control
It just vomits bullets wherever.
Waste of ammo
Yeah. I know. My recoil control is pretty damn good, but those things are completely useless.
You would need a 100 round mag so you don't use it all so fast
Still wouldn't hit anything outside of dumb luck.
Technically they do have illegal fully automatic glocks on the black market
I'd rather buy a Negev, they're only 2K
And if you keep that trigger pulled for more than a few seconds the aim is incredible
I’d love to get an MMR AR but it doesn’t have a forward assist, it having one really that important if I’m just using it at the range?
A forward assist isn't really all too useful.
It's good to make sure your gun is in battery but that's it
Normally the argument is that it’s quieter to use the forward push, better in cold weather, but if you have to recharge the chargin pin does it eject a round?
Or as long as you don’t pull it back all the way you’re fine
Depends on how far back you pull the slide
Negev is constant recoil like the Ultimax, isn't it?
Okay thank you! They’re still kind of expensive but I’m not sure what’s important when looking for ARs
Some ppl use them znd others don't its what u want
Yeah, in the real world the forward assist is pretty much useless. Good for silent loading, and for making malfunctions worse. Pull the bolt all the way to the rear and let it go (or just lock it rear, insert mag and release the bolt with the button) and you'll be fine.
AR15 has a squib - Forward assist lets you blow the gun up.
Accidentally load a .300 AAC round in a 5.56 rifle - Forward assist lets you blow the gun up.
Pizza what did u end up going witj
The forward assist is there to shove the bolt into battery to complete the chamber and lock actions required before firing in the event the weapon has a chambering malfunction. This feature is used in the acronym SPORTS Slap up on the magazine to ensure its seated, Pull back the charging handle, Observe the chamber to ensure there are no obstructions, Release the charging handle, Tap the forward assist to ensure battery, Squeeze the trigger.
Also I was making a gag about the Negev in CSGO
If i was going fully automatic I would do my ak or get one if the new sig that they made for the army i think it as
Was
Yeah, that's one of three entries they're looking at. I don't expect it to go very far, since they don't seem to offer much over what's out there now, and would complicate the supply chain.
Idk the new ammo cal might be better even places like Russia and Germany looking to change to New cal for fully automatic
It's just the age-old problem of throwing another caliber into the mix, plus we just paid to develop the new M855A1 (which is a monster). You know why the Garand wasn't adopted in its original caliber of .276 Pedersen, right?
Also, there's a reason they run Abrams tanks on diesel instead of jet fuel.
