For home defense however......intimidation is part of the game
Particularly because it's harder to clean up the bodily fluids in your house where outside it will just wash away. Plus, if you use too big a caliber you may have holes to patch.
Hey they're just trying to relive the patching holes experience with their hand cannon as the pirates and Navy did all those years ago <:thinking:726878987837636698>
opinion time: AR-15 or AK-103?
Would M4 vs the AK-103
be better?
As AR-15 is a publicly available and bought rifle
Whereas the AK-103 is employed by militaries
I wish this beauty was mine, but I stole the photo from the NMLA Facebook page

But as with everything, both got advantages and disadvantages
ak-103 is also publicly available
Also has nations putting it into military service, funding and tech etc
just checked online and they're about $1200
idk
I find myself leaning towards the ak, but AR platform parts and ammo would be a bit more common in a "we-fucked-up" scenario
I guess I like the simplicity of the ak103
maybe I'll just get both
I've noticed that asking for other's opinions just helps me figure out which choice I subconsciously wanted in the first place.
going for ak-103 first
How many rounds did they put through that ak?
~1400
" different platforms, one has military backing and another does not
But if you phrased it as M4.. I would of gone with that
Because I know one AR brand that is stupid, STUPID reliable
Like, this thing PASSED their torture test
AR is a different gun than M4
AR lowers are a bit smaller than M4 lowers
Also, the 103 fires 7.62x39 which is a pretty common round
Same platforms though?
That is why I went with the switch there on the opinion, but you are right there, still too different
I personally think that Russian AKs are outdated. The Russian Army is looking for another cartridge like the US is atm
More punch than 5.45 but smaller than 7.62
5.45 is a good round but the Russians have made way too many versions of the AK platform
Ah yes I have handled M4's but not the AR-15, would not have realised that, cheers @Lyte
