@grumpcat911 since u are awake lol do you know if I replace a 5 position buffer tube (micro) for a AR15 buffer tube, is the spring going to affect me? I do not see caliber mentioned with buffer tube springs

2020-10-06 05:21:57 UTC

It is for a 9mm carbine

2020-10-06 05:24:26 UTC

I don’t think so but I’m not exactly the best with modifications. That and it’s a little hard for me ya gain much knowledge since I’m a Californian. XD

2020-10-06 05:27:20 UTC

@grumpcat911 gotcha no problem. I assume it probably does not matter since the springs are no caliber specific. The diameter of the carbine buffer tube & Ar15 are the same, so i know i can swap them out. Only thing I was worried about is if the spring would be an issue. I emailed cmmg customer service tho, ill find out tomorrow, i just wanted to place the order lol

2020-10-06 05:27:44 UTC

👌 good luck on that.

2020-10-06 05:27:59 UTC

Thanks!

2020-10-06 05:37:35 UTC

Its doesn't matter...AR15 springs have no effect on calibers.

2020-10-06 05:43:20 UTC

Its common to “tune” a rifle by changing the buffer, different spring rates are another place where you have choices. Most aftermarket springs use a spring tension weight

I see. Thanks much

Opps

2020-10-06 05:46:01 UTC

I meant to tag another person too oh well

2020-10-06 05:46:14 UTC

They'll see

2020-10-06 05:47:14 UTC

You'll need a Carbine style buffer

2020-10-06 05:47:20 UTC

@Aperfectghost thanks, I’ll go ahead an place an order then. I hate how small the micro buffer tube is

Check that product out

2020-10-06 05:49:10 UTC

After ur build

2020-10-06 05:50:05 UTC

That is an expensive spring lol

2020-10-06 05:50:46 UTC

Yes to answer your question Odb, a heavy buffer is good because it, a 9mm AR is a blowback system

2020-10-06 05:51:28 UTC

Yeah its expensive but you can swap it between your ARs

2020-10-06 05:53:39 UTC

@Aperfectghost hmm maybe in the future. I don’t seem to need it rn, My DDM4V7 Pro has no recoil. I assume that is the purpose of that primo spring

2020-10-06 05:54:15 UTC

I like the suggestion, did not even know that existed

2020-10-06 05:55:56 UTC

Heres a good option as well 👆 @Odb

2020-10-06 06:02:09 UTC

This is coolest AR build I've done, it's a side folder with a quick attach dolos system

@Aperfectghost you know if I put a rifle length buffer on my 20" 6.5 if it would cycle ok?

2020-10-06 06:04:20 UTC

It's in my go bag

2020-10-06 06:05:07 UTC

With my cz p07

2020-10-06 06:05:36 UTC

Using a mid length buffer and it ejects around 2-3 o'clock

2020-10-06 06:06:17 UTC

I think it would work
