Oh okay i couldn’t tell, ppl actually get mad like that tho
nah
just teasin
YOOOO
THAT'S EPIC
I NEED ONE! You think it's in Zed's budget? Maybe he'll buy it for me
Thanks! Probably too high price for me, Especially considering it have to drive multiple hours also to get it, but it’s still pretty cool and basically $200 cheaper and have a never been fired that’s pretty good
Today on "well, shit"
Looks like overpressure from bad ammo
Wheel gun probably had something blocking the cylinder
That's unfortunate
Anyone know how to put sling mounts in a stock? You gotta drill holes in the stock and then put the round screw type mount and then you can put the ring mount on that if you so choose right??
You don’t use QDs?
The what now?
@ThatShadyVandal oi mate do you know?
You're the most knowledgeable person in here that I know😅
@HUNTER4639 Depends on the mount. Some use pic rails, some require a type of helicoil, some are coarse enough thread to just torque it in. What kind of mount do you have and what stock are you mounting it to?
@Aviate738 you sure those are 5.56 and not .223? I dont see primer crimps
I have no mount as of right now which is what I'm trying to figure out. I'm trying to mount to a Ruger 10/22 wood stock. The one that it comes with
I was looking on Amazon and they have a few different kinds
Ah, the best ones use a helicoil type insert to thread the D ring into
You drill a hole specified by the insert and use a small hammer and an aluminum rod to "press" it in
Much the same way pool anchors go in
A little adhesive helps
I see. I was looking at these originally https://www.amazon.com/YYHJ-Sling-Swivel-Studs-Mounting/dp/B07CCYLXCY/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=rifle+sling+mount&qid=1602212303&sr=8-6
Oh those just go right in. Make a small pilot hole 1/8" about a 1/4" deep and twist it in
Use a little superglue on the threads. It helps keep it from backing out on you
Wood stocks are wonderful to work with. Much better customization than plastic ones.
Ah, thanks for the help. Do you think those would work good or are there any other quality ones?
I'm assuming they'll all be pretty similar
They are all pretty similar. Manufacturing has gone a long way the past 30 years. Pot metal is a thing of the past
