@Stargatemaster96 thanks
Glad to help, now you just have the problem of find parts and ammo during this time.
That's gonna be tough
Ikr 1000 rounds going 1000 dollars is rough
Oof
1$ a round
Yup and alot of indoor ranges doesn't let u shoot steel case
jeez 556 is that much rn? thats comparable to some high-power rounds. o-o
Ouch, I still don't have my AR15 yet because I'm still waiting for parts but I at least have been able to get 1000 rounds of 5.56 XM193 at 59 cents a round. Really overpriced but not that overpriced.
Yeah the range i went to doesn't let you rapid fire or shoot steel core
What's really bad is I have an alert for 223 Wolf Polyformance and last time it went in stock it was 49 cents a round. Sorry but your cheap russian imported steel case training ammo that should be at most about 20 cents a round.
steel core and steel case are not the same thing, just fyi. Steel case refers to the case that holds the primer and propellent. steel core means the bullet itself has a steel penetrator in it.
I know, I was more referring to price.
Looks like a sword
Or a dagger of some sort
you can tell b/c the case is grey/silver and not brass
I use steel case for most things because I don't reload but I don't think any of my ammo is steel core. Doing steel casing just saves you some money if you don't reload.
Even my defense ammo is steel case.
and ye, steel case is great for its affordability.
I see
Thanks im new to all this
np m8. tbf, I have been into guns since I was 9 and I still am learning every day.
Wow
Funny things is i can get steel core cheaper then 1 dollar a round
really? that is surprising indeed, given the circumstances xD
Ikr I was stocked when I seen that
I think its new gun owners that don't know what it is so they not buying it
I've been shooting guns since about 7 but AR is a whole new ballpark compared to pistols, shotguns, and traditional hunting rifles I'm used to. It's why I'm having a friend who owns his own gun building company help me build it.
Yup and get worst when u move on to the ar10
omw i have been specing out ar10s for years I have finally decided not to even mess with them. xD
whats some decent but affordable ear protection
What kind are you wanting? You can go ear plug, traditional over ear, or active over ear.
https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/walkers-adults-ext-range-shooting-folding-muff#repChildCatid=1062183 these look fine. if you find your gun is still to loud, you can buy the little foam ear plugs at the hardware store and put those in and the put the muffs on.
I like the walkers
ye david raises a good point
I splurged for active over ear so I can still hear everyone around me when shooting isn't happening but they are more expensive then alternatives.
I want a pair of actives, but I don't shoot enough to justify the purchase of them. :/
