If you have ever shot a 22 rifle before, it's basically the same in terms of recoil.

2020-10-26 16:23:58 UTC

Oh

2020-10-26 16:24:08 UTC

That's a lot less than i thought

2020-10-26 16:24:24 UTC

I'll try it out next time i go shooting

2020-10-26 16:25:15 UTC

I can understand why you would think it would be more if you have never shot one before. First time I shot a friend's AR 15 I was mentally prepared for recoil and was taken aback when there was next to none.

2020-10-26 16:26:31 UTC

Yeah i was kinda intimidated by the size of it compared to 9mm

2020-10-26 16:26:41 UTC

But it seems manageable

2020-10-26 16:27:37 UTC

I'll definitely try it out

Glad to help, now you just have the problem of find parts and ammo during this time.

2020-10-26 16:31:14 UTC

That's gonna be tough

2020-10-26 16:32:13 UTC

Ikr 1000 rounds going 1000 dollars is rough

2020-10-26 16:33:26 UTC

Oof

2020-10-26 16:33:35 UTC

1$ a round

2020-10-26 16:34:27 UTC

Yup and alot of indoor ranges doesn't let u shoot steel case

2020-10-26 16:34:45 UTC

jeez 556 is that much rn? thats comparable to some high-power rounds. o-o

2020-10-26 16:34:58 UTC

Ouch, I still don't have my AR15 yet because I'm still waiting for parts but I at least have been able to get 1000 rounds of 5.56 XM193 at 59 cents a round. Really overpriced but not that overpriced.

2020-10-26 16:35:26 UTC

Yeah the range i went to doesn't let you rapid fire or shoot steel core

2020-10-26 16:36:20 UTC

What's really bad is I have an alert for 223 Wolf Polyformance and last time it went in stock it was 49 cents a round. Sorry but your cheap russian imported steel case training ammo that should be at most about 20 cents a round.

2020-10-26 16:36:42 UTC

steel core and steel case are not the same thing, just fyi. Steel case refers to the case that holds the primer and propellent. steel core means the bullet itself has a steel penetrator in it.

2020-10-26 16:36:51 UTC

I know it is odd but I always wanted one of these,

2020-10-26 16:37:06 UTC

I know, I was more referring to price.

2020-10-26 16:37:08 UTC

Looks like a sword

2020-10-26 16:37:16 UTC

Or a dagger of some sort

2020-10-26 16:37:16 UTC

this is steel cased ammo

2020-10-26 16:37:40 UTC

you can tell b/c the case is grey/silver and not brass

2020-10-26 16:38:21 UTC

I use steel case for most things because I don't reload but I don't think any of my ammo is steel core. Doing steel casing just saves you some money if you don't reload.

2020-10-26 16:38:56 UTC

Even my defense ammo is steel case.

2020-10-26 16:39:01 UTC

David, sorry I know you were talking about prices. I was just replying to Gaberino.

2020-10-26 16:39:19 UTC

and ye, steel case is great for its affordability.

2020-10-26 16:39:50 UTC

I see

2020-10-26 16:39:50 UTC

Thanks im new to all this

2020-10-26 16:40:28 UTC

np m8. tbf, I have been into guns since I was 9 and I still am learning every day.

2020-10-26 16:40:58 UTC

Wow

2020-10-26 16:41:11 UTC

Funny things is i can get steel core cheaper then 1 dollar a round

2020-10-26 16:41:49 UTC

really? that is surprising indeed, given the circumstances xD

2020-10-26 16:42:08 UTC

Ikr I was stocked when I seen that

2020-10-26 16:42:47 UTC

I think its new gun owners that don't know what it is so they not buying it

2020-10-26 16:42:49 UTC

I've been shooting guns since about 7 but AR is a whole new ballpark compared to pistols, shotguns, and traditional hunting rifles I'm used to. It's why I'm having a friend who owns his own gun building company help me build it.

2020-10-26 16:43:28 UTC

Yup and get worst when u move on to the ar10

2020-10-26 16:44:28 UTC

omw i have been specing out ar10s for years I have finally decided not to even mess with them. xD
