Did y'all know that when the movie lord of war was being filmed, they contacted the un to let them know that all the tanks they have set up aren't actually russian because there were so many of them and it looked like they were preparing for an invasion

Yeap, kind of funny in a way

2020-12-03 09:24:22 UTC

I have

2020-12-03 13:47:59 UTC

Except for a couple of shotguns I own, and those my wife owns, I've converted all my personal rifle stocks to synthetic. Lasts longer, impervious to moisture, doesn't care if it gets wet/muddy, low maintenance.

I find it odd when people talk about "ugly" firearms, or the "beauty" of a walnut stock. I have no care at all what firearm looks like but how it shoots, how it handles and can I (or whoever needs my firearm) spend two days slogging through a swamp and still place rounds on target at distance. But that's just me I guess.

I honestly want something like this in a takedown config.

2020-12-03 13:59:49 UTC

probably in 30-30 of 45long

2020-12-03 13:59:55 UTC

44*

2020-12-03 14:39:32 UTC

@Bar my thoughts exactly. People whine about ugly glocks but I think they look great, but more importantly they can be submerged underwater for six months and come out firing

I, uh, may have ***accidentally*** painted my AR in the COD4 blue tiger stripe. The grey paint is more blue than grey when next to the black finish.

2020-12-03 14:46:42 UTC

Still looks nice

2020-12-03 14:50:50 UTC

Thanks! It was two evenings of taping and cutting tape.

2020-12-03 14:51:51 UTC

Ouch. Sounds like it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

2020-12-03 14:52:59 UTC

Eh, arts and crafts are a hobby of mine. So it's nice to hear the results please someone besides just me.

2020-12-03 15:40:44 UTC

Is the hmr worth the extra weight compared to the regular stock @chromatically

2020-12-03 15:41:06 UTC

I was thinking you could just put a cloth cheek riser on it

2020-12-03 15:56:52 UTC

*Accidentally spent two nights cutting and taping to paint a gun*

2020-12-03 16:04:42 UTC

Glad you caught that... I have edited it to reflect your observation.

2020-12-03 16:06:09 UTC

Pretty cool giveaway :)

2020-12-03 16:06:12 UTC

2020-12-03 16:31:47 UTC

Big boy 357

2020-12-03 16:49:51 UTC

I like the amount of trackers all my filters caught

2020-12-03 16:50:27 UTC

ID tracking warning from Firefox proper and 10 scripts blocked.

2020-12-03 16:50:31 UTC

😦

2020-12-03 16:50:43 UTC

Just an FYI

2020-12-03 16:50:44 UTC

For that?

2020-12-03 16:50:58 UTC

That's kind of how these things make money usually.

2020-12-03 16:50:59 UTC

IP tracking, user data tracking, etc

2020-12-03 16:51:55 UTC

Somehow I got 17

2020-12-03 16:51:55 UTC

I'm aware, I just don't like such things and avoid sites that use those tactics when it comes to firearms. Cause reasons.
MidwayUSA, Brownells, and Palmetto State Armory don't use 'em.

2020-12-03 16:52:16 UTC

Makes sense

2020-12-03 16:52:50 UTC

I'm behind at least 2 layers of hardware filters plus other networking protections

2020-12-03 16:53:08 UTC

That's my sop

2020-12-03 16:53:34 UTC

May depend on your environment or if your like me I have multiple security measures in place so depending on the chain order of the add-ons one may block before another.

2020-12-03 16:55:51 UTC

What bothers me most is the hardware tracking warning from firefox.

2020-12-03 16:56:27 UTC

Maybe I should just make all my harware say they're Ti-83's again.

2020-12-03 17:02:05 UTC

wait, hard-ware tracker as in the damn thing is looking at your PC's files?

2020-12-03 17:20:07 UTC

honestly that's up to you. if you're using it mainly for trekking around hunting, I can see how it being lighter would be nice. and 6.5 creedmoor isn't ridiculous on the recoil either

2020-12-03 17:37:07 UTC

That’s what im thinking

2020-12-03 17:37:33 UTC

👍

2020-12-03 17:37:35 UTC

And do you guys have any recommendations on muzzle breaks on a 6.5
