The yellow strip is a zip-tie mag-well block, you see them all the time at gun shows to prevent the insertion of a loaded mag.

2020-12-09 16:19:49 UTC

@Bar or you could just call it a gun lock lol

2020-12-09 16:22:20 UTC

i should probably be more specific, i meant the strip jutting out of the mag thats just lying there

2020-12-09 16:22:36 UTC
2020-12-09 16:22:55 UTC

hmm

2020-12-09 16:23:08 UTC

Its not a lock, there is a simple lever on the tie that can easily remove it.

2020-12-09 16:23:34 UTC

That isnt a mag, that's a mag loader

2020-12-09 16:23:55 UTC

oooooooh

2020-12-09 16:24:01 UTC

that actually makes more sense now

2020-12-09 16:24:25 UTC

I didn’t see a tie but the picture is kinda blurry too

2020-12-09 16:26:06 UTC

Yellow tag is the tie

2020-12-09 16:26:38 UTC

Pardon, its a mag WITH a loader

2020-12-09 19:32:55 UTC

50 round mags 😏

2020-12-09 19:33:20 UTC

gonna get me one

2020-12-09 19:34:50 UTC

for that ^

2020-12-09 19:37:14 UTC

I don't have experience buying drums but do they normally cost that much?

2020-12-09 19:37:36 UTC

quality ones yes

2020-12-09 19:37:49 UTC

the magpul 5.56/7.62 are plastic so cheaper

2020-12-09 19:37:55 UTC

but still $100 a pop

2020-12-09 19:38:07 UTC

130$*

2020-12-09 19:38:20 UTC

I have one of those too. decent quality. heavy though.

2020-12-09 19:38:52 UTC

Haven’t drum mags been historically not great?

2020-12-09 19:40:42 UTC

Yep, they are a lot more complicated then mags so they have more reliability issues historically. They also are large and unwieldy compared to mags so they are very hard to carry spares.

2020-12-09 19:41:52 UTC

I've mag dumped a 60 drum 5.56

2020-12-09 19:41:56 UTC

the D-60

2020-12-09 19:42:01 UTC

worked flawlessly

2020-12-09 19:42:19 UTC

Hmm

2020-12-09 19:42:25 UTC

smoky barrel after but it was nice. there was a dead tree and I cut it in half lol

2020-12-09 19:42:42 UTC

I’ve never used drum mags personally
