when I was in Texas, we had some good friends from church who were very pro gun. One of their kids got cancer when he was like two, and if I remember correctly, I think they jokingly said something about not wanting him to go to heaven having never killed a deer or something. <:KEK:795742276549607456> anyways, they took him hunting and he shot a 30/06 (with his dad's help) before he even hit three. kid was a total badass! <:dogekek:726878872607653918>

idk if it was legal, but i dont think half the people there cared about the laws that much too do anything *in that particular case*

Nice

2021-01-04 23:47:56 UTC

Just put a Ruger PC Charger on layaway <a:5999_DancingCockroach:726883731012452363>

2021-01-04 23:50:51 UTC

Noice

2021-01-04 23:51:23 UTC

Btw what your guys thoughts on a safety on a firearm as well as a safety on a knife

2021-01-04 23:51:49 UTC

Finger is best safety

2021-01-04 23:53:38 UTC

I hear you there which is why I own an APX centurion and a Hellcat, but I think if a person trains with it enough or has a grip safety like with XD series by Springfield then it isn't an issue

2021-01-04 23:54:10 UTC

But ultimately gun safety and good practices Trump any manual safeties

2021-01-04 23:54:32 UTC

Though I could be using flawed logic here

2021-01-04 23:56:53 UTC

Theres alot of factors involved

2021-01-04 23:57:40 UTC

Duity guns you dont want a safety, something with a striker no, revolvers no, double-single action no, single-action only (1911) yes

2021-01-05 00:06:00 UTC

My carry pistol is an XDS has a passive grip safty which I have never failed to not trigger. Also, most remotely modern pistols have an internal drop safety. I could give or take the grip safety but I would want a drop safety. You also clearly have admiration for the 1911 but it has one of your hates, a manual safety.

@Stargatemaster96 hopefully targetsportusa is good cause I recommended it to my bro 🙂

2021-01-05 00:31:50 UTC

he got a savage axis that uses 6.5 creedmoor and couldn't find any ammo

2021-01-05 00:35:49 UTC

Most of my ammo has come from them, now days their prices are pretty inline with what you can expect to buy from online and shipping is fast.

2021-01-05 00:36:30 UTC

Really? I'll have to give them a look

2021-01-05 00:36:47 UTC

Also thinks for all the input. I really appreciate it

2021-01-05 00:38:22 UTC

They let you sign up for text or email alerts for when ammo comes in stock which is good because the in demand stuff being sold in line with the inflated market prices sells fast.

2021-01-05 01:14:00 UTC

You're definitely not wrong there

2021-01-05 02:31:31 UTC

I like a well-designed safety on my gun, but like undead said, the shooter is ultimately responsible. as for knives, I hate em. I see no reason to put a safety on any knife for *most* applications. If the knife is well designed and well built, it should not open under normal carry conditions. Something like a gravity knife is a good example, as many of these are held shut by either a mechanical or spring mechanism that in no-way limits the time it takes to deploy them or prevents them from being intentionally deployed. The only time I can really understand wanting a mechanical "safety" switch, would be if I was jumping from a plane or riding a motor cycle. Even still, safety switches are never a 100% and you should always respect a knife for what it is, deployed or not. Just my 2c though. :)

2021-01-05 02:33:51 UTC

^a specific example for the gravity knife would be something like a benchmade griptillian, with the axis lock. It holds the blade shut under spring tension, and physically locks only when the knife is deployed. Even most good liner-lock knifes have a ball-spring detente which holds the blade shut under spring tension in a way that allows the blade to be deployed quickly.

2021-01-05 02:34:31 UTC

even swiss army knives hold the blades shut under spring force, and I doubt anyone wants a safety on one of those <:KEK:795742276549607456>

2021-01-05 02:35:58 UTC

Well thanks for your two cents on the matter

2021-01-05 02:36:28 UTC

ye, more like maybe ten cents i think though. sorry for the rant :\

2021-01-05 02:36:32 UTC

The reason I asked is because I got a Sog Flash AT which comes with a safety

2021-01-05 02:36:44 UTC

It's all good

2021-01-05 02:37:07 UTC

I hear good things about that knife, but I dont have exp with it. Im sure the safety is fine, but I would likely remove it

2021-01-05 02:37:10 UTC

thats just me

2021-01-05 02:37:52 UTC

tbh, it cant hurt anything, so I see no issue with having a saftey, I just dont like them. thats all

2021-01-05 03:21:02 UTC

Ok

2021-01-05 08:24:48 UTC

Btw Coldsteel Sr1 is thiccc

2021-01-05 17:23:24 UTC

i dont know about guns, i heard that the hipoint is the best gun in existence

2021-01-05 17:25:10 UTC

BWAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

2021-01-05 17:25:19 UTC

what

2021-01-05 17:38:19 UTC

Hipoints are bottom tier guns

2021-01-05 17:39:04 UTC

Like Kias are to cars

2021-01-05 17:40:48 UTC

Hi-points are top tier throwing stars though.

2021-01-05 18:00:54 UTC

Hi-Points allow for a budget.. That's about it.

That's coming from someone that was looking at one

2021-01-05 18:01:08 UTC

I bought a Ruger instead
