As we are all fallen creatures, we all have sin and have no chance at not sinning

The whole point of asking for forgiveness from a sin is to not repeat the same sin but god gives you as many chances as you ask to be forgiven of that sin

I’ve been taught growing up that you’re not truly sorry unless you try to not do it again. At some point your less saying it because you mean it

In order for you to interpret the gay passages differently, you'd have to reinterpret significant portions of the Bible if I remember correctly

For the Pope to say that it's not contradictory against the Bible tells me everything I need to know about the Catholic church right now to be honest

Tbh, I was pretty blatant with how I talked and I've attended church since I was a baby. I was literally only fooling myself. Was I a bit of an outcast? Sure. Was I treated worse by liberals at college? Yes.

They say science is on their side too and the reality is that the history of science isn't so clear cut with homosexuality and that it's essentially been decided instead of actually researched, mainly because we've taken God and spirituality out of the picture in favor of secularism

You can say that no one who partakes in homosexual behavior can change, but only if you ignore the fact that there hasn't been a whole lot of research into a lot of crucial areas of sexuality. We also have to keep into account that we as a nation are no longer Christian and that it makes sense that you wouldn't be able to find "gays who converted." Because there are so few actual Christians at this point and an even smaller pool of ones who may struggle with homosexuality, it's impossible to gauge whether or not it's possible to switch

Christianity is a straight and narrow path by its own admission, no extremely dark but slightly humorous pun intended

Of the Christians who DO try and seek change, many are unwilling to come forward with their story

In the bible it says that in the end times, people will be lovers of evil. The left love evil. This is horrible

We must remember that Christ told us not to worry about tomorrow.
We must give all of our worry and anxiety to Him.
This world is not our home. For He prepares a place for us in Heaven. Whether by rapture or earthly death, if we are saved, we shall be with Him in paradise. He will wipe away every tear.
We are in the world but not of the world.

I think even us Christians have gotten too caught up in this world, relying too much on man instead of God.

Christ voluntarily was beaten, mocked, spit on, whipped, then forced to carry His own execution cross to the place of His execution, where He was nailed to the cross and hung up there for hours.
Beforehand, He was so scared He sweat blood. For He was both 100% man and 100% God, He knew what was about to happen, and was scared.
But He went peacefully with the accusers, even healed one of them. Asked for God the Father to forgive them while He was dying on the cross.

He did this not for 'us', but for **you**. Each one of us individually.

Not as a whole, but personally

We can't comprehend what level of love that would take. We were the ones who sinned, He didn't have to do anything. But He did.
He paid the debt that we never could. Receiving no benefit for Himself.
