That's how we know

> How do you know? It’s doesn’t say thou shalt not kill humans. And yes, eat the flesh of the animal, but you didn’t eat the spider, so does that violate the law? It’s says not to lust for another mans wife as well, but I’m sure you’ve watched explicit videos of an actress who’s married. So did you violate that law? You’ve definitely done something your parents have told you not to do, so did you violate that law? You see what I’m saying? Everyone is free to make their own, personal interpretations.
@TheSynical1 it says though shall not commit murder. Depending on what translation you look at.
I kill bugs all the time anyways
I just use NKJV and KJV and NASB
> It’s says not to lust for another mans wife as well, but I’m sure you’ve watched explicit videos of an actress who’s married. So did you violate that law?
I don't watch pornography but yes that's what the verse would imply.
KJV says not commit murder
Sounds about right
I’m just saying, a book written by man, correct? And, man in inherently flawed, correct? So it would be egregious to think that the book wouldn’t be flawed. Especially after thousands of years of additions and redactions.
@kendikane88 Sure, but the context is important. And with context we know it's about not killing one another.
> @kendikane88 Sure, but the context is important. And with context we know it's about not killing one aother.
@MechaKnuckles yes I agree
The book can be flawed....but like..damn how do I put this into words
@TheSynical1 I'm not telling you translations aren't flawed. But the original text is extremely influenced by God and basically free of error. Sadly the original text is lost at this point of course.
Think about it. When you’re ready the words will come.
My husband and I have this conversation a lot as he used to be afraid of persecution a d doomsday prepping and stuff and he would say if it’s me or him, it ain’t gonna be me!
The amount of flawness in the book at the very least is very very little, because it didn't just have one guy translate the whole thing
And to that I say what would Jesus do?
It had alot of translators, and supervisers for those translators
As far as I know
I never understood the “FEAR GOD.” Nonsense. God is all loving, so why should I fear someone who loves me? He made me, correct? He knows who I am, how I think and what I feel. So I have no fear of God, I only return the love that is given to me.
If we are called to be like Jesus and we are in a “me or him situation” what should we do? Well, what DID Jesus do? Did he take a life to spare his own?
> I never understood the “FEAR GOD.” Nonsense. God is all loving, so why should I fear someone who loves me? He made me, correct? He knows who I am, how I think and what I feel. So I have no fear of God, I only return the love that is given to me.
@TheSynical1 Like a Dad
Like a Father

@TheSynical1 fear does not mean be afraid. It means to have a reverence/respect.
@TheSynical1 fear is your friend
I’m not a God fearing man at all, I am a God loving man.
What does a Father do?
When a child throws a tantrum
> @TheSynical1 fear is your friend
@ARCADEIUS
Negative, fear is imaginary.
He disciplines the child, but he doesn't want to
@TheSynical1 negative fear saves lives
He does it anyways because that is his job as a Father
and after
He shows his love to the child
> When a child throws a tantrum
@Book
I don’t strike fear into my son because he has a tantrum.
when the Child comes back to him
It's not that kind of Fear
let me put it to you this way
If you stray away from God
Bud. Fear is not the word you are looking for

@TheSynical1 may I ask how old you are?
He's not gonna continue protecting you
