@MKSmash but I do respect Mary in a way

2020-11-08 19:22:31 UTC

Just don't think she needs praise like jesus

2020-11-08 19:23:49 UTC

We don't praise her like Jesus though, which is an important difference. We honor Mary because of her position as sinless mother of God. We worship Jesus

2020-11-08 19:24:41 UTC

> @DeButcher I don't care what you are but are you a person of faith (doesn't matter what)
@Conminer47 yes

2020-11-08 19:24:45 UTC

What is your religion? @Conminer47

2020-11-08 19:25:32 UTC

Ok but I don't believe she was sinless she was just used by god cause no one is sinless except jesus which is why he died but yeah I'm more Baptist Christian

2020-11-08 19:25:55 UTC

Sinless? Could u elaborate on that @MKSmash

2020-11-08 19:26:20 UTC

God uses many people to do his work.

2020-11-08 19:26:42 UTC

> Sinless? Could u elaborate on that @MKSmash
@DeButcher
No human is worth to be called sinless

2020-11-08 19:26:44 UTC

Yeah he used a fricking donkey <:KEK:726877368601411624>

> @DrStrange77 I respect your religion but I feel like the guy that made it was on some kinda drugs cause there's a lot of wacky stuff when it come to your version of heaven and other stuff so if you want would you care to explain it to me and I'll keep an open mind
@Conminer47 First of all, we believe that Jesus Christ "made up" the Church, but was later restored by Joseph Smith. He helped our church get where it is today, and he translated the Book of Mormon with divine help. Our "version" of heaven has 3 levels. Telestial is the lowest level, or hell. However, leaders have said in the past that hell is better than our earth is. The next is terrestial, in between hell and heaven. It is for those that aren't part of our church, but those who lived a good life. Also, members of our church and go to terrestial as well. The final kingdom is celestial. It is the most divine, and we will be able to progress eternally. This is the level of God and Jesus Christ. Each person is a case-by-case basis, and we will be judged according to our works and beliefs. It is important to mention that there are separate levels inside each kingdom as well. Also, for those who committed heinous crimes, they are sentenced to outer darkness. In addition, you cannot visit kingdoms above your own.

Mary was concieved sinless, and without Original Sin, because she was chosen by God to be the physical mother to his son

2020-11-08 19:29:04 UTC

Because of how important she is, we hold her as the highest of the Saints

2020-11-08 19:29:15 UTC

Ok @DrStrange77 that is very interesting but maybe this is me confusing a different religion but don't you have a level where women go or something like that?

2020-11-08 19:30:20 UTC

Actually, we do not. We believe families are eternal and separating the them isn't something we believe in.

2020-11-08 19:32:53 UTC

@MKSmash do you think the Pope or the priest is really the person who can go to God for your sins cause I believe jesus made it so we can come to him in prayer and ask for forgiveness

2020-11-08 19:34:15 UTC

@DrStrange77 ok that's interesting thanks I thought there was in the celestial level a place for female virgins but maybe I'm confused

2020-11-08 19:35:03 UTC

In confession, God acts through the priest to forgive sins

2020-11-08 19:38:28 UTC

@Conminer47 No there isn't. In fact, getting married and having children is the main goal of many of us here on earth. In addition to faith and good works of course. Also, in addition to your statement to another user, we believe that you ask forgiveness in prayer. When you take the sacrament, the sins you repented of during the week are forgiven.

2020-11-08 19:38:42 UTC

Well we believe when jesus died and the curtain was split that was a sign that we no longer needed a priest to go to god for us and that we can go to god ourselves but I would say the priest is still important but we see him as a person who is there to preach on the pulpit and not personally go to god for our sins but I do think he should pray for his church

2020-11-08 19:40:09 UTC

Ah, I see. The priest does a lot more than just preach in Roman Catholicism

2020-11-08 19:41:58 UTC

@Conminer47 what do you believe about Mary?

2020-11-08 19:46:35 UTC

Every human is born with sin, including Mary. Including all the saints they are not sinless. Human are not perfect.@MKSmash

2020-11-08 19:47:01 UTC

Jesus is the only person that is sinless.

2020-11-08 19:47:59 UTC

If mary was sinless then she would be sufficient to pay for sins of humanity

2020-11-08 19:48:50 UTC

That makes sense to me as well. While Mary was conceived sinless, she wasn't totally sinless. That's why people say The Virgin Mary i guess.

2020-11-08 19:49:39 UTC

Wayt

2020-11-08 19:50:37 UTC

There is no in between either your are sinless or sinful

2020-11-08 19:51:22 UTC

Sure

2020-11-08 19:56:54 UTC

I mean, of course Mary made mistakes. But she didn't have sex out of wedlock. Which I believe is a sin.

2020-11-08 19:57:28 UTC

Divine adultery ecks dee

2020-11-08 20:01:01 UTC

The inflation of Mary's role is an exercise of such theological ignorance it's not even laughable. It shows how little one can tell of the meaning of the Biblical texts they read, or of who they're listening to, like with Catholics. Mary had like two chapters of relevance of the Bible, and neither were as a *$%3ing cOrEdEmpTrIX or relevant figure. News flash, Jesus is the main character of the Bible. Just like all these catholic traditions, Mary was used to Christianize the mother goddess figure of many pagan religion, like how Saint Nicholas and our own holidays incorporated Norse Winter traditions.

2020-11-08 20:26:51 UTC

Mary may have made mistakes, but not sins. She was perfect in that she was sinless. Only Jesus was enough to satisfy humanity, because He was sent by His Father for that purpose.

2020-11-08 20:27:44 UTC

@DeButcher you are partially correct. All saints besides Mary sinned at some point or another.

2020-11-08 20:28:04 UTC

Corny, I find that last paragraph so ridiculous I have no idea what to say

2020-11-08 20:29:34 UTC

If you could tell me what these "norse winter traditions" are, that would be helpful

2020-11-08 20:30:53 UTC

Once again, WE DO NOT WORSHIP MARY. We respect her for what she is and has done, she is no "mother goddess figure".

2020-11-08 20:34:41 UTC

"We dont worship her but we're going to pray to her as if she was God. Lol silly protestant."

2020-11-08 20:38:13 UTC

This is where we have to be careful with wording. We pray to her for intercession on her behalf to God
